| Ok, so a few guildies here are thinking about getting together and playing Dungeons & Dragons Online considering it's free to play. If you're interested in joining us please let us know by signing up here with the following information:
1. You're characters name (when decided on).
2. What class you've chosen as we need to get that all important group dynamic flowing! The more varied the classes chosen the better.
3. What server you think we should be on, assuming it hasn't be decided on yet. I'm not even sure if there's an RP server but if there is then that would be a plus.
Please use this thread as the the place to chat about the game as I don't want to overpost about it in the media section.
If you want anymore info on the game or you want to download the client please follow this link.
Hope to see you in game! | |

| Ok, guess I'll go first.
1. Undecided name as of yet.
2. Wizard or Sorcerer would be my preferable class as I'm not a hand-to-hand combat orientated kinda guy, plus I'm a magic junkie that does a better job from range!
3. I'd prefer to go on an RP server but I'm open to ideas.

| I don't think there is an RP server per se as none are flagged as such when you start.
I've made a Cleric (Warpriest of Syrbis; Fighter / Healer) on Khyber server but am happy to remake something else, or remake him on a different server - I definately want to start from the beggining with you lot; so if possible once we have some numbers can we arrange a day to all start on please?
Servers are:
Khyber Ghallanda Cannith Thelanis Argonnessen
and
Sarlona
EDIT: I'm up for a Cleric, Rogue, Ranger or Bard.

| Mine char is cleric as well and playing Ghallanda server. Already lvl 2, but I could start a new char...cleric,paladin or ranger would be fine for me. And no server is RP-marked unfortunately. Anyway, we can make our little RP group. So which server will we play on? | |

| Is there an actual server that has been designated as RP friendly by the roleplayers themselves do you know? | |

| I don't think so, but they encourage to play on Ghallanda, I guess is not that crowded as other servers. | |

| Once I'm sorted and ready to start play in a week or so I'll have a good look-see and decide on a class but right now the Monk looks good to me. I know I'll have to buy him ( ) but by my calculations it's only around £8. Char name and server are question marks right now. |

| I was tempted to buy a Warforged Red, so I know what you mean Still £8 is still less than buying an MMO for £20-£30 plus another £9-£10 every month Dugo if you wanna go for the Cleric / Ranger I'll put dibs on the following then please: Rogue or Bard(If somebody desperately wants to play one, I'll play the other) | |

| Are Wizard and Sorcerer free to play classes? Also how much does it cost to play as a Drow? I would look myself but I'm currently downloading the Hi-Res client and it's sucking all of my bandwidth. I've had to re-post on here 4 times! | |

| Wizard and sorcerer are free to play, and cost for a drow is something about 600-700 points, and 900 points cost 11.99 dollars. Is it decided which server will we play so far, to know where to create a char | |

| Aye, I can confirm Dugo's reply - I put in the other thread what is unlocked / locked, but to summerize:
Free Races: Human, Elf, Dwarf. Halfling Locked Races: Warforged, Drow
Free Classes:
Melee Fighter, Barbarian, Paladin
Spell Cleric, Sorcerer, Wizard
Specialist Bard, Ranger, Rogue
Locked Classes:
Monk (melee) Favoured Soul (spell)
(no specialist locked class)
I think it would be cool if we wait until Red / PJK are available to play it, if people are cool with that? Its free and its not going anywhere so it would give everyone who's interested a chance to download it too.
I'm very tempted to create my main character from playing Forgotten Realms pen'n'paper; a character I've played for about 11 years on&off. She's a Half-Drow, Half Wood-Elf fighter/rogue called Nadia Blackscurge (Though her real name is Na'ia V'rinn).
Nearest I would be able to get would be Drow Rogue I guess.
I don't mind which server we are on.
EDIT: Dugo, you sure you don't wanna make up a new char? otherwise you'll have to wait for the rest of us to catch up to level 2 (taking into consideration folks that each level has four ranks (four laps of the XP bar) so thats the equivilent of level 5, and its a litttle slower than most mmos)

| Well in fact it's really not a big difference between lvl 1 and 2, but it's not a problem for me...from lvl 1 to lvl 2 it's maybe 3-4 hours of playing... | |

| tbh Wizard or Sorcerer are probably gonna be a definite for me now, but I think I'll give them both a try before deciding on what I want to go with. I'm assuming it's like microtransaction where you buy a class/race if it's not available for free at the start? Or do we have to subscribe for that to be included as well? Only half an hour to go with the download as well! Oh and I'll add you when I get on Dugo. | |

| Yeah when you first create an account and load the game it has the locked races and classes there for you to look at, but you can't play them. There is a "buy now" button that takes you (via an internal web-browser) to their game store where you can (at a guess) buy them and the "buy now" button vanishes and the race / class is available to play. I'm officially either going for: Nadia Blackscurge (Drow Rogue, Path: Undecided) or Gilthanis McBladen (Human Bard, Path: Undecided) For anyone curious about this game, here is a character creation youtube vid, btw: | |

Cool, do we get to choose surnames from the start too? You can, yes - it doesnt cost anything or need level requirements or anything like that. - Artekus wrote:
