The Changes Involving Inactive MembersFirst off thanks to Lunarwolf, Tando, PrioryJK, Caryington, and Witya for turning up.
There is no doubt whatsoever that the lack of a game is affecting the activity within the guild. I find myself groaning everytime I see a Friday update with useles information from BioWare. However, this doesn't change the fact that we are and will always be an
ACTIVE guild.
Unfortunately for whatever reason some members are still finding it a problem to log in once a month to tell us that you're still part of the guild. Personally I and the others at the meeting tonight couldn't find a decent enough reason why any member couldn't sign in to the Monthly Roll Calls. After all it's only once a month and if you're going to be away for an extended period of time, then there's the Absences & Extended Leave threads for you to post in to let us know. If you think about it, it's really not that much to ask.
Anyway I feel like I'm flogging a dead horse here so I'll come to the point and let you know what the majority of the guild present decided.
The SolutionHere is what was decided by the end of the meeting:
- If the Officers feel a member is inactive they will be stamped with a MIA (Missing In Action!) guild rank which PrioryJK will be designing for the new site. If you receive this mark then it's an indication to start being more pro-active within the guild.
- Members who remain Inactive (MIA) and either don't let us know that they're going to be away or fail to check into monthly roll calls will be dismissed from the guild. You may re-apply to the guild but ONLY if you're willing to remain active.
We hope that you realise that it's not a personal attack but EPOCH wants only the best for it's members. If everybody doesn't pull their weight in this guild then it shows dramatically to the ones that do.
