I've just finished watching District 9 and I have to say I was very impressed.
OK so it was pretty much what I expected, but it was done with style and had some twists and turns. Not exactly a glowing representation for Johanasburg's tourist commision though

Just about to watch 2012 but I'm not expecting much. That said John Cusack is in it and he's a class actor, so I may well enjoy it after all.

I sometimes wish I had the chance to watch those really crap movies just so I could luagh my @% off at them, especially the knowing, but even this one with a premise of "the world collapses so we all need to live on boats"

Just watched over the last couple of days both S- S- S- Dark Side and District 9. Enjoyed both but thought SSSDS wasn't half as funny as Blue Harvest was. Though I thought this could be a great EPOCH recruitment vid^^...
And I thought District 9 was really well done and a pretty accurate portrayal of how things might go should something like that ever happen. Although...
Spoiler:
...I was convinced the 'Queen' alien, Christopher, and it's kid wouldn't make it to the ship. It felt like a real 'look how awful human beings really are' sort of flick that wouldn't allow a happy(ish) ending!
And I'm currently up to Season 5 of The X-files, which is arround the time I stopped watching it on TV so new (to me!) episodes!

At constant nagging from my brother I finally got around to start watching Flight of the Conchords and I gotta say I'm lovin' it - its dead silly, its reminds me of a New Zealand version of mighty boosh.
Here's an example of their spontaneous bursting into song - the lyrics just get worse and worse

Hah, I watched the entire first season and eventhough it's hillarious most of the times I've found that you can't watch more than a couple of even one episode at one time because you start feeling bad for the characters (especially Murray). Don't you agree?
