Stig: sensationally arrested
Posted by Sam Philipat 4:54 pm on Thursday October 15, 2009 Big news straight out of Dublin: the Stig has been SENSATIONALLY ARRESTED by a FRIENDLY POLICEMAN following an ALLEGED INCIDENT of some kind. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the white-suited racing driver being hauled from his car by a member of the local Garda late yesterday afternoon, not 10 minutes after he mysteriously disembarking a bus headed to the city centre. “I didn’t see what happened exactly,” said one onlooker, “but it was probably really bad. Maybe he punched a swan or tried to push one of the Hairy Bikers into the river. Again.” The local police are yet to comment on the ALLEGED INCIDENT, but did helpfully confirm that the Natural Museum’s gift shop stays open until 5pm on weekdays. This isn’t the first time that Top Gear’s tame racing driver has been in trouble with the authorities. In 2006 he had a similar run-in while racing Clarkson to Scotland in a kit car. By freakish coincidence, the 2009 Top Gear Live World Tour will be stopping off in Dublin in December. And thanks to Stig’s little brush with the law, the world now knows all about that. Which is lucky. Police have asked anyone with further information to refrain from writing ‘Wooh, first comment!’ in those box-things below. Has anyone seen any of that "Fringe"? Fringe as in 'fringe science', not bangs. They're calling it the new X-files and while I don't believe for a single moment that it could be that good, if it's along the same lines then it might be worth a watch. Any body reccomend that?

Seen the first 3 episodes, and liked them very much. Good storylines, decent chemistry between the actors and lots of cloak and dagger.
However, not sure if it will be another one of those US shows that just goes on forever and drags it out to death! Too early for me to tell really.
I'd recommend having a look-see

Yup, I'm a big fan of it and I've watched the entire first series and now we're on season 2. It's excellent mate! The first season was a bit slow but now things are really starting to pick up. It is indeed very much like X-Files, although I do prefer X-Files. For me it's the best all-time Sci-Fi series so Fringe will have to up it's game considerably to get into the same league. Fringe is pretty damn spiffing stuff though and I highly recommend it.

Oh and this guy (you'll probably remember him as Denethor from Lord of the Rings) will have you in absolute stitches!! One of the best characters I've seen on TV in a looooooooooong time.

Going back to my point about the Grudge and the Ring for that matter, what is actually scary about being chased by a Manga-headed spacktard that sounds like she could do with some Lockets and can't even walk properly?
The mind boggles.

I quite like a "Manga-headed spacktard" (lol btw^^). Nothin like a nice bit of modern anime influence on japenese remake - even if the movies are s***.

haha Inglorious Basterds in a great film, Brad Pitt is very funny in it. Kind of reminded me of a Mel Brooks film.

Haven't seen it but it does look good for a laugh
Funny thing is, seeing hitler at the end reminded me of H2's "Fall of EPOCH" spoof videos, I was expecting to see subtitle's saying something about Salazar

Tonight I'll have the chance to watch one film at work, but have two to watch, so need to decide :S
Can anyone recommend which one I should go for? I have:
The Unborn
and
Transformers2: Revenge of the Fallen (I almost wrote Revenge of the Falleen then )
Only thing putting me off Transformers is Megan "Bodly-go-where-everyone-has-gone-before" Fox...
