Similar to Sureshot's What Are You Listening To? thread, I've put this up to see what series people are currently watching (or any film they may have recently seen).
Simply because I'm a curious what-not.
Currently I am watching Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex (2nd GIG)
Because I was a massive fan of the films and found the first Series ('The Laughing Man') a superb accompanyment. So far, I've not been let down.
Oh and SUPERNATURAL, of course

Right now? Desert punk (that you recommended LW ) And also trying out Supernaturals (also what you recommended ). Desert Punk cracks me up and supernaturals aren't that bad. Also i watch house m.d. when a new episode comes out.
I must say i hate the Ghost of the shell series graphics... The movies were just right but Stand Alone Complex... isn't for me.
I used to watch heroes and true blood when they still aired... Now waiting for new ones. But both of those feel a bit washed out after the first series...(or few first episodes if you talk about true blood).

Family Guy. Always Family Guy. Forever Family Guy!

I finally figured out why "Supernatural" series is called that!
Its because there is a supernatural amount of hawt chicks and hawt dudes in this series. I mean i'm up to episode 17 in series 1 and i haven't seen a main character or even a secondary character that wasn't hawt! THAT is supernatural! >.>
Show me a real person finally damn you!!! <.<

Lol glad you like it Aliendra - keep an eye on the plot and away from the boobs though eh? trust me the 'hawt chick' quota never drops, you have plenty of time to drool
@ Red - Family Guy ftw! (but that picture is very VERY wrong)

You're right LW. I'll try and find a more representative picture.
*Redwatch goes and looks for Family Guy pics*
Is this better?

I missed this the first when it was aired but I love all things Sci-Fi / Fantasy related so when I saw it on a random Youtube flick-through, I went out an bought both series.
Just started series one. It's pretty awesome!

Sons of Anarchy and Dollhouse are two of my fave shows that I'm currently watching. Plus I eagerly await the next seasons of Lost and Sanctuary. I'm also watching the new updated Knight Rider which is quite frankly, a joke!

"Sons of Anarchy" eh?
If I check this out am I gonna be dissapointed in the usual "All-bikers-must-be-depicted-as-bad-guys" stereotype as the vast majority of our coverage suffers from? or even worse, are they all knuckle-draggers?
Aw who am I kidding - its got bikes in it, and for that alone I'll check out at least episode 1.

I was watching 24 and Lost, but they have now both finished. I'm going to start watching Sky 1's The Take. Looks pretty good. Apart from F1, I don't really watch much, just movies on Sky and documentaries. Ross Kemp In Search Of Pirates is pretty good at the moment.

Right now, I'm watching or about to watch
Farscape, upon LW's suggestion
Sanctuary, upon Sureshot's recommendation
Fringe, just missed a couple of episodes during the season
Lost Season/Series 5. I just never watch it during it's season because I'm impatient and quick to forget stuff.

Actually I need to add Sanctuary and Fringe to my list too (although I've only seen the first episode of both but intend to keep watching).
and "Nostalgia-Yay!(tm)" for Farscape

Many of you B4H forumees seem to be very interested in this "Supernatural" show. From the little I know about it, it doesn't sound promising with it being on the CW(with shows that "appeal to women 18 to 34-years-old"), and it being about hunting demons or some such (which doesnt really interest me).
So... I want you to tell me why I should try watching it. What makes it a good show and why would I be likely to enjoy it?

Well first of all DarkA, if you dont like "it being about hunting demons or some such (which doesnt really interest me)." I wouldnt bother watching it.
Despite the fact it is well written, is witty and has plenty of action wrapped around a mixture of horror and comedy, if you have problems with the central premise then it really wont do much for you.
That said, I've got plenty of people who freely admit to it "not being their thing" watching all four seasons and really loving it!
Of course you could just ask Ali, who will reply with something akin to "Because the girls are HAWT!!" or something along those lines.
Its quite easily my fav non-sci-fi show by well..miles.

I don't know if that's true. I don't like demon hunting or ghost hunting but I can get past that and still really enjoy the show. I just can't bring myself to imagine any of it in our reality. Still, great characters, more importantly, very, very attractive female bit parts. (Pun intended)

Well it depeds how the demon hunting thing works... cause im all for a well-written, witty show that has HAWT girls.
If it doesn't spoil too much, is it like traditional demon hunting stuf where they like have spellbooks or certain words they say and demons from another dimension that they try to send back? I would much rather a fresh take on the demon hunting thing with some new ideas.
Also, what I was getting at with it being on the CW... is it overly angsty like many of their other shows?

Well they're biblical demons, so can be exorcised and what-not, but they're not you're red-skin, goat-headed stompy fellas, they possess people and discard them when finished (usually killing them).
It should be said that the first series is not "demon-heavy", its more "monster of the week" like the first few series of X-files used to be.
As for angst? there is only that between the two main characters (brothers) but that develops past that quite rapidly, and they spend more time one-upping each other or playing practical jokes on each other.
Also, (especially in the later series) it becomes very apparent that they dont mind poking fun at themselves either. Common is the line
"That's just not possible!" followed by "Dude, we hunt demons for a living and chase monsters. 'Possible' is pretty friggin' relative."
....or words to that effect.
