Have to say that I'm halfway through the movie and it's really not up to Tim Burton's usual standards. Visually it's great as expected but the script has to be one of the dullest ever written. Another thing to mention is that it's not actually the original story which I found a tad dissapointing being a fan of the classic book. It's actually more like Mr. Burton's sequel version. Still on the plus side Johnny Depp is great as the Mad Hatter and same goes for Matt Lucas as Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
Isn't it supposed to be based on the second book 'Through the Looking-Glass', when Alice returns? I haven't seen it myself yet.

It's ok, not as good as Severance though. Thats a seriously cool movie and a hell of a lot funnier.
As it's the 30 Year Anniversary I think I'll be watching this little unknown movie...

Well I've got Severance already and Play.com are sending me Doghouse for the meagre price of £3.99 (plus Sons of Anarchy Series 1 for £14.99)
At the moment I've just purchased Season 5 of House MD (I try not to watch it on TV cos I don't want to miss episodes) and have just purchased the first series of:
The Tudors
Which I've had my eye on for some time now. I've been a big fan of Jonathan Rhys Meyers since he was in Gormenghast and you can't go wrong with a bit of Sam Neill.
So far, 4 eps in I'm impressed. Its a bit of a slow starter but its getting quite sneaky and viscious now ^^

Just finished watching Shutter Island and it's absolutely superb! Slightly predictable if you've seen familiar movies before but you just can't knock the A-grade acting and the unsurprisingly perfect direction of Martin Scorcese. If you're a fan (like me) of Hitchcock's work you'll love it as it's a total tip of the hat in ode of his great work. I will warn you though, it treads dangerously close to insanity!
My 2010 movie of the year by one of my all time favourite directors. Excellent.

Tonight at work I'll be watching the final 2 episodes of Clone Wars Season 2:
I have to say I really enjoyed the first season (despite being skeptical) but the 2nd is even better!

Couldn't find a generic Star Wars news topic so I'll post that here.
Season two of Clone Wars is inbound in DVD and blueray in october 2010. http://starwars.com/theclonewars/news/seasontwo_dvd_bluray/index.html

I'm not watching anything on TV at the moment. Everything has finished. Stargate Universe, V, 24, Lost. There isn't anything left to watch. Can anyone recommend anything coming up soon?

Mmmmmm Torchwood.
Always preferred that to Dr Who (not that there is anything wrong with Dr Who), and it seems so does Russell T Davies who has stopped writing Dr Who in favor of working exclusively on Torchwood.
