its so awsome they added chiss, cus I was planing on rolling chiss.
don't suppose any one else here are going for chiss aswell?

Agent 36809 has a Human/Chiss hybrid, so I imagine he'll be pretty chuffed too

I'm personally very happy they've included Twi'lek; my original idea for a character was one: a Twi'lek smuggler, back when we were still a neutral faction guild. I moved to Hapan when we bacame Sith Empire and a shockinly large amount of Human-Only images were being displayed on SWTOR.com

By the way does anyone want me to add Near-Human to the character info sheet?

I may change Ril to a Chiss tbh Umbarens were space fares but wer'nt part of the Republic yat and chiss seems close enough for me I could also go Rattatak i suppose...

I was gonna say, why not change to Rattataki? Ril's pictures almost look like a Rattataki anyway.

@ PJK: I agree with SS, but its your call. I'd even go so far as to say she's Umbarren even if they don't end up as a race in TOR. Just roll a Rattataki and say she's Umbarren from an RP perspective.

I imagine that's what most of the RP community will be doing with their characters if their chosen race isn't available. For example if Hapan is not a race I can chose I will roll "Human" for Aleina and just say she's Hapanese.

Though the thought occurs.... Perhaps they'll include "near human" as a 'create your own race' option?

Yeah I agree she looks more like a Rattataki, tbh I was just happy to settle on a species that I know will be in the game, I'll see I might just leave her for now

If I were in that position I think I would say she's half Umbarran and half Rattataki. Seems easier that way.

I'd go with Near Human. We don't know if Hapan will be included, but Near Human covers more species and therefore more people's characters

Hapans are only a subculture of humen native from the Hapes Cluster... They're just human! Just alike an Aldreaanian is a human from Alderan.

Hapan were Human, they come from Human "stock" so to speak, but their extensive genetic modifications have made them a new species, hence near-human.

I don't add anything more because LW has a high position in the guild and I want to get my paychecks

Otherweise I would argue that Hapans are maybe an off-shots of human but there are stil breedable with human therefore they are human. Example Isolder and Teneniel Djo
But that I don't say since I'm not willing to be killed by the hapan because I'm too smart

I'd be suprised if we don't see Mirialans as a player race, seeing as they have big connections with the Clone Wars series and also that we saw Hylo Viss (or however its spelt) in one of the first timelines...

Agreed. I'll be very surprised if they don't turn up as playable for the Republic classes.

So what are peoples thoughts on the Cathar being announced? Do you think they'll be a playable species?

Well they look brilliant, I would love to see them playable and as all the playable species so face have been humanoids with the standard facial setup it would surprise me if they were not Smugglers Jedi perhaps?

What wonderful species with the BH get? Humans and ... rodians?

I cant think of any particular species that woudl fit a the bounty hunter class that has been in the movies, Rodian .. I'd be happy if maybe a droid like on TESB but i cant think of a logical species.
