LOL /disagree
Dr Who is weaker. Its for 'ze kids'.
The only good Doc (recently) was Christopher EChristopher Eccleston. David Tennant was 'ok' and Matt Smith looks like a kiddie fiddler

Lol you would'nt Soude its a distinctly English thing, some of the stroies do suck and are childish, true but its more fun the characters are more interesting and its just less dreary and less ...cardiffy then torchwood which tried to be adult and mix low budget scifi and the the same time, it also features John Barrowman *shudders*
You guys should watch Amys choice yeah dumb aliens it may contain but a good stroy and Villain as well

I don't like Burn Notice. And I prefer The Mentalist over Psych.
What I'm watching right now is 'Lie To Me'. I downloaded the entire first season on iTunes and I'm still watching it. Going pretty well so far. Human Target is also pretty good. My problem with Lie To Me is there's no real substantiated story-arc. It's a by-the-week thing. I'd like to see more of a continued plot but I'm still enjoying it.

I've (quite literally) just finished watching The Road.
I knew little about it and so went in with an open mind and I have to say I was very impressed. Its a very stark, bleak film set in a post-apocalyptic world and it never really goes into detail about what happened. Hints are given: there are occassional minor earthquakes throughout the film and virtually no animals can be seen whatsoever, but in truth its not important what happened, just that it has happened. The story revolves around a father trying to protect his son as they travel 'south toward the coast', juggling ill health and defending themselves from hopelessness and starvation.
Its really worth a watch but be prepared; this isn't a 'hollywood feel-good movie'.
As far as watching a Series goes I've been making my way through the first series of J.J. Abrams FRINGE despite being skeptical over the plot-shambles that was Lost. Luckily however, this seems much more interesting and less convoluted, though much of it is a mix of science and the fantastical, a bit like the early X-Files episodes. Glad I got round to watching it though, so far so good!

I read the Road and yes is it a depressing book, although great as well, however when the movie came out I was thinking do I really want to watch a 2 hour movie of just pure wristslitting action?
The answer was no

I saw the Road the other week, and thought it was a pretty good film. I bet the book would be pretty heavy going though.

I'm currently addicted to the Mongrels (click on the link and you can watch all episodes) and as comedy goes it's the funniest @% I've seen on TV in quite some time. If you're from the UK, old and remember the kids TV show Round the Bend then you'll love this. If not imagine a late night version of the Muppets and you're on the right track. Simply brilliant!

Aye they both are, but both very different beasts. Fringe is a bit "up-to-date X-Files" (if thats you're kinda thing) and SoA is very 'down and dirty' with a collection of characters you hate one moment and your heart goes out to the next.
Surprisingly I thought SoA would be just one for the guys considering the amount of machoness and gunslinging that goes on, but the my other half really likes it and so does my sister - so I guess there are different ways of watching it

Just finished watching The Expendables and I have to say it ain't half bad. As you can imagine it's a high octane testerone filled flick but just seeing all those icons of action in one film is really cool. There's also a lot of jokes concerning the action stars involved which are really quite amusing, especially the one with Arnie.
I don't have to tell you that this movie may be of interest to you seeing as you're part of a Merc guild, but I'd recommend checking it out.

Death Race - Best way to describe this film??
Okay....
Games Workshop decide to recreate Dark Future in the image of other classics like Rambo and The Running Man. Mix in a bit of Jason Statham (Snatch & Lock, Stock & 2 Smoking Barrels) plus the added salt of The Fast & The Furious and the ultimate inspiration of the movie Death Race 2000 (God bless you Mr. Corman) you end up with this rather entertaining, no... kickass high testosterone flick like this:
Honestly I was never a huge fan of Mad Max because I was always waiting for the day they could make something just as action packed with a cheese factor of 10.

I own Death Race - I really enjoyed it, but then again I like most of Jason Statham's stuff, like Crank and Crank2
CRANK
CRANK2 - High Voltage
Both really, really silly films but a great laugh!
