| Ok so I've been seeing various threads about guild logo's lying about and was wondering it we should have our own? I mean I knwo we have the awesome web banner uptop that Red made and of course this one, but I was wondering if we should have some kind of symbol as well? What do you think Red? | |

| I think a logo or motif is essential to the identity of any kind of group, so I'd say it's a good idea. |

| Eh? Wasn't it always crossed blasters over Coruscant? That is what we used in the past and the RP-Wiki. To me, it's just fine and represents us well, we just need to spread it around more, that's all. | |

| As much as I really like that logo, I view it as synnonimus with "Blaster for Hire" - now we have more than just Bounty Hunters in the group, perhaps the guild could reflect that? | |

Aye, I agree. I really like what HofD have done with theirs: Now I'm just stumped as to what to have for an E.P.O.C.H logo so any ideas would be great.

| Maybe a circle? On one semi-circle will be Coruscant and on the other semi-circle will be a credit coin. They'll then fade into each other to look like a circle. This will show our base of operations (Coruscant) and also that we're in it for the money, not nessicarily via blasters and other weapons. | |

| I love the credit chip idea although I'm not sure what credits looked like in the Old Republic era. Also we don't neccessarily have a base of operations yet, but Coruscant would prolly be my first choice if we did. Nice ideas though, keep 'em coming. | |

| Just a mess around in gimp and i came up with this. (it's basically like one of the ones we have now but with modifications... so it's not that creative). | |

| I know it's been a while since anyone posted in this thread, but I've since had a simple idea: It's pretty simple and easy to remember. A Credit symbol enclosed in a sort of compass point, which you could say means that we have direction or we'll get the job done, etc. Of course, you could spruce it up a bit... | |

| Nice idea, Harl Mind if I make a recommendation though? perhaps the compass point should go downwards. Generally downwards / inverted symbols are connected with bad/negativity and even if done in subconscious way people might pick it up and it'll make us feel more "Empire" (baddies). The other reason being it could represent a download (stealing all your creditz!) rather than an upload (I'd like to make a deposit, please) Just my thoughts - though I do like the idea - Good to see the Thread still lives! | |

| Actually, sounds like a good idea. I think we need a graphics artist to do a proper one though - and Hare has left the building. Here's the updated version: Or: Another idea is a "Skull and Crossbones" with the credit symbol (or an alien skull) and two crossed blaster rifles instead. | |

| Here ya goes, my take on your funky logo. It became apparent quite quickly that it needs to stay simple so it can be easily distributed so I didn't change too much, I just snazzied it up some. ...and kept the black & gold colour scheme going on Interestingly, I noticed when I ran it through photoshop using the guidelines that the down-arrow was slightly off-center but I found I really liked that, so I kept it in! (I think its fair to say our Guild is a little 'off-center' too ) | |

| Oooh yeah! Now it looks Good. Sorry about the off-centre business though, it was a quick doodle in Microsoft Paint after all! Yeah. I really like it. Let's get everyone else's opinion in though... | |

| Personally although I really do like the design, I'm not so sure it suits the guild *hides*. If I were looking at it from someone approaching the guilds point of view, to me it would suggest that the guild were made up of bankers (yes I said bankers!) or salesman of some kind, perhaps even suggesting that we were a crafting guild. I do see your reasoning though Harly and I can understand why you chose this idea, but to me it doesn't really scream "Sinister secret agency made up of mercenaries".
Sorry to put the critiscm in anyway because it is a very good design but I thought I'd put in my 2 pence.

| Can we add two crossed blasters behind it then? | |

| Hmmmm personally I thought the black and gold gave it the sinister edge we were looking for and the Credit symbol at the center kindof epitomizes E.P.O.C.H. being, as it were, at the 'center of what we do'. But I do also take your point, sureshot and we don't want to be confused with the Banking Clan Perhaps we could keep the outer ring but replace the credit symbol with something else - frankly we could make something up if it looked "star warsy" enough. In all fairness if you look at the actual star wars logos many of them (with the exception of the mandalorian and 'phoenix' republic logo) are nothing but abstract shapes. Star Wars Logos | |

| I'm definitely with you both on the ring surrounding it, thats for sure but I'm currently stumped at some visual respresentation of something that is sinister. For example, I've always liked the look of the planet covered in shadow in my sig as I think it gives off that sinister air. Checking out those symbols though (thanks for that link by the way) it's hard to find something that truly could be close to E.P.O.C.H, because going by the Bounty Hunter guild symbols they look a bit too war-like (skulls and crossbones etc) and after all we are a 'supposed' legiimate business. EDIT: This I do agree with though: - Lunarwolf wrote:

Maybe that would be the wisest decision with something like E.P.O.C.H. I always liked the look of the following: The Zann Consortium: I also like the Czerka Corps. one as it's leaning toward a the 'sinister planet' idea: I very much doubt I'm making any sense here whatsover (no change there then) but I like the idea of a a shadow slowly creeping through/over a planet but as to me it suggests that there's something hidden and waiting for unsuspecting victims. Kind of a social cancer if you like.

| I don't see why we can't do a (non-specific) planet in shadow? or at least a globe-planet-representation kinda thing...
Also one of the things I like about the Zann Consoritum (and the Mandroxan Cartel for that matter) are all the sharper edges - they to me have a sinister feel.
Perhaps someone could design something nasty-spikey-lookin' then I could put it in the middle of the circle and put a nice gradiant shadow on it? (see, not forgot your shadow, sure ^^)

| Personally, I like this "Cyber Skull" idea: here or even this one
Alternatively, we can indeed make a unique symbol, like the Zann...

Cheers! Yeah thats definitely the way I'm leaning in all fairness. That Mandroxan Cartel one also caught my eye. EDIT (AGAIN): I wonder, could that Czerka symbol (the dark part) be turned arond into the planet to make a letter "E" inside the planet? The middle part, as L-Dubz has suggested would look pretty good as a 'spike' methinks.
