Guild Name: Thoughts & Feelings

I'm not that joysome about "SAW" Harl, anymore today than when you first mentioned it a couple of weeks back . Whether you think it's matters or not – it does have an unavoidable association with the movie franchise. I'd bet the farm that out of the people playing SWTOR more will have seen the films than have ever picked up a real saw. As for hiring a 'SAW', why would you hire a noisy and outdated/obsolete instrument? Wouldn't you want something cutting edge (no pun intended! Haha!), quiet and precise? Nobody would associate what our guild does with sawing, would they?

For me "SAW" doesn't work. At all. I'd rather be stuck with CODE. And that's saying something!

As I myself have been reminded (forcibly and many times over!) we still have all the time in the world to come up with a guild name. Personally I'd rather we focused on coming up with some fresh ideas. I'm ever the optimist!

Had an idea here, how about:

Wunclaz
Actually, Bocce for First Class. As far as I know, its a unique guild name that doesn't directly say first class. On the contrary, it says it in a stylish manner that has ties with the Star Wars universe. And of course, we are first class service, so we fit the bill. Bocce is the spacer language, it is spoken by a large, if not vast majority of the space-faring population, these people are the ones who will be usually hiring us, with obvious exceptions. In this case, it does make sense, and in my opinion, Wunclaz does have a ring to it.

What do you all think?

Well maybe it might be a good idea to set up a poll and determine what kind of names people would like in general (a name made up of the main letters like code or a name like Wolves of the Emipire. i know where miles off but settling on a name would be good

Just to let everyone know I think we're coming very close to choosing the final guild name. I won't say what it is yet but the one we have floating about is pretty fantastic as it explains the guild, the current state of the galaxy and it's very 'shady'! Watch this Space!

Even though I'd prefer it wasn't, I think you're talking about C.O.D.E up there, Sureshot. Well, that or one of Aliendra's, probably InterG Security Firm or Green Star Security Company. I wouldn't say one of mine because they've either been shot down by other people, or have just not be "floating about" as you put it.

For one more suggestion, I was thinking of putting Wunclaz and InterG Security Firm together - Wunclaz Security, or Wunclaz Security Firm. It doesn't particularly sound shady, but in all honesty, do we want to be arousing suspicion?

After reading through this thrwad. I quite like the look of C.O.D.E. (with the red and blue) and InterG Security Firm, but how would you show the two departments with that one? I like the sound of 'The Agency' as well.

Can't wait to see what name you have come up with though.

Just about to leave a post on it but the name has been decided on now. I'm sure you'll like it cause it does sounds very spacey and dark. Needless top say it's not C.O.D.E but it is similar.

Yeah, but they listed Section 13 too; an obvious Ghost in the Shell SAC rip-off of Section 9.

Still, nice to get some love.

I don't mind Section 13 too much and I can definitely see worse ones on that list. The 501st Legion doesn't really appeal to me. Actually I can't think of one of those Military guilds that appeal to me, maybe it's just not my thing.

Yeah that's true, and I agree that 501st sounds really naff! lol

Is anyone else getting fed up of how many guilds have the word "Order" in them? Seriously check this lot out:

Yeah I think someone needs to tell them that we're in the OLD Republic.

Oh and I'll change the guild name tonight, although I prefer Order of the Agents of the Order of E.P.O.C.H Order.

The Holy Order of the Jedi Knights ... that one got me...sounds like a bunch of templars to me, I just don't know where they will chase witches in the Star wars world
