| Thought it'd be good to find out more about you loons, so to that end:
What's the best bit of tech in your life today and why?
Hopefully we'll avoid the obvious "My PC" answers. Mine has to be my ipod touch. Well that's slightly less obvious than the PC answer. Oh and I love my electric tin opener. (When oh when will the canning people behind tuna fish catch up with the rest of the ring-pull tinning world??)
Any takers? |

| The Invisible Cloak!
I'm serious - they've made a cloak that is made from nano-materials that can actually bend light! I saw a picture too! The person still shows up, but you can see through them (wierd!). I can't find the photo, but it was a newspaper sniplet on my school's whiteboard.
I'm sure many of you won't believe me...

| Woooo!! Chrono Trigger is fantastic! All should bow to it's awsomeness. Just got it again on the DS. They've overhauled the controlls to fit onto the touch screen and it works wonderfully. The musical score is still classic. I remeber having my parents get me an american import of FFIII (which was never released on PAL SNES) for christas one year too. Those were (are once again ) the days... |

Is that one of those really cool glass ones? Another gadget. It is possible to make real lightsabers now. But those who can do it don't find it practical.

It's not glass it's like some sort of reinforced plastic, with the cool metal handles. And it may be possible to make a lightsaber using plasma and an electro magnetic field. However it would give off extreme heat, and if you wanted to be able to cut through anyone it would have to be about 10 times hotter than the sun.

| I've got the Mace Windu Force X Lightsaber. They're really good but the hilts/handles are a bit too big. I could really fancy the stonkingly expensive metal cast replica of Han's blaster. Mmmm.... |

| they have made a "lightsaber" already but to use it it need to be conected to some stonking amount of electrisaty and also the beam will carry on untill its defused so its not that great yet, but they are working on it . and its a prober lazer. no real heat is given off atall. and crono trigger is one of the best rpgs ever! | |

| I don't think a "lightsaber" in real life would ever work if it was a laser. I heard speculating and i think its logical that it could be a plasma stream held intact by a magnetic field Anyway.. sci-fi |
