I think I'll be purchasing it through Steam too, especially if it's cheaper than anywhere else. Can we not still use Steam as a voice chat if we buy it seperately though? Sorry I'm a bit of a nubling when it comes to Steam.
EDIT: The reason i ask is because being a collector of all things Aliens/Predator I like to have the box set etc. to add to it.

If you have steam, you have voice-chat
All you need do is plug a headset/mic in then start a normal text-chat conversation with someone; (or lots of people) then click on "start voice chat" then you have an always on, open mic connection.
When you have that, just load the game over the top and you can chat while going through menus, loading screens etc.
Alternatively if you buy the game THROUGH steam, a lot of their games have a "push to talk" option in the games where you hold down a key / 9th-odd mouse button to chat.

Ah-ha, cheers for letting me know. As I say I'm a nubling so I'm kinda uncertain about a lot of it. Now the next step is to finally get this @% headset!!!

I was actually checking out that Creative one but it seemed a bit bulky to me. Again though another company that I put full trust in and it does look the shizzle. By the wya it's cheaper over at amazon methinks.

HERE is my logitch one, though I have the wired (usb) set which at the time (a little over a year ago) cost me £49.99
You can probably get them for like £1.99 and a hand-full of peanuts now.
Actually I have to say they are worth the dosh as the noice-cancelling mic allows me to listen to music through the headset which other people can't hear over my voice chat

Wow on both accounts, although as a Predator mask I don't think you can go far wrong with this one. Oh and I'll have both and a full size Alien costume please L-Dubz.
Back on topic though, I'm actually swaying towards getting from Play.com. Mainly because of the fast delivery and all the extra goodies. I wonder if Amazon are doing any special deals?

Difficult to say with Amazon, tbh - sometimes they do, other times not. That's why I tend to stick with play.com tbh. Sometimes Amazon beat them on price but Play are super-fast (and free) at dielivery and tend to have extra goodies / deals thrown in.

You were after a review PJK? well its a little early for that, but here is a PREVIEW from IGN.com, well worth a read!
Also "PC Gaming Magazine" gave it preview score of 95%, which coincidently is exactly what they also gave Mass Effect 2...
Oh and on another side note, although I actually really liked the AVP films, its an interesting point to realize that Rebellion Games are using the same universe/timeline as the Aliens film (note that I said Aliens Film and not Aliens Film(s)) so its all about the "bug hunt"

Hehehe! Yeah as much as I like the AvP movies I have to say they missed the point of what made the comics/games so awesome in teh first place. Everyone knows that to get the perfect combination you need Aliens, Predators, Colonial Marines and to set it in the future on some bizarre dark planet. Why they miss this in the AvP movies I'll never know.
p.s. Just ordered my copy from Play.com

Cheers for the Spoiler warning PJK, I'm assuming that's because of the charming fellow at the end?
The game is looking mighty impressive; I love the way they show jump markers for the Predator, really gives you a feel for just how freakin far that dude can leap... and collecting human heads as door keys for the retinal scanners? nice touch.
I'm also really glad to see they've kept faithful to the original games - one of the things I really loved about playing the Predator is you could use the different vision modes to easily pick out your opponents, but they were on 2 different vision modes -meaning you could see one clearly but the other was always invisible....meant you were constantly swapping vision modes. Even the mighty solo hunter gets jumpy after enough of that...
High hopes!

I've just been checking out a ton of trailers here actually. It seems it's possible to do a 4 player co-op so it should be fun teaming up to take out other people.
I also noticed that they've made massive improvements to the Alien to make it more accessible, which is a relief.
Oh and i thought you might be interested in seeing the various kills!

Yeah 4-player co-op is an almost definate possibilty, as is 18-player deathmatch! It'll be like Team Fortress meets the Aliens films!
