Ventrilo Server

got a mic today

Hmmm eveytime I try and log in this comes up:



I think I'm gonna try and reinstall Vent cause my old guild Deepwinters Defence is still on there, and for some reason I think it's only reading my password for there.

I don't mind speaking if somebody gives me a mic. If not I'll stick to listening in and typing. I can never complain about accents due to the fact that the Ulster Scots accent is the most hideous in the world (except Southern Ireland accents).

Once I get a mic I'll be yabbering away I think, but I'm in no hurry cos the 'Text To Speech' function is hilarious. She's a saucy one!

Kay! Server's back up and running with the usual connection informations (See OP) sorry for the wait. Also sorry I couldn't come on much to check posts or write, busy week! Fun, but glad to be back. The Forums have been busy! Lots of catching up to do.

Uhm i just knew i had forgotten to ask something...damn what was it? Ah oh yes about this "speak" thingy, is that something all members will HAVE to use?

I ask this because i have a rather sexy voice and do not want you girls to fall in love with me...hehe just jesting a bit there! I just do not hear so well so i am always hesitant to participate in a voice chat since i usually miss what is being said most of the time, sorry!

That's no problem. And right now we are mostly just using it for it's chat box and Microsoft Anna. Come check it out if you ever want to.

Yes it would be a bit, odd.

I could be wrong. But I believe Ventrilo is just for OOC commentary and discussion as well as just a place to chat that isn't the forum's chatbox. It does make interacting with your fellows in the guild a lot easier, though.

I remeber using it on WoW it was a life saver on raids and a usefull tool for people to tell me how much my armour and mount sucked I'll try get a half decnt mic for it soon

Just a note, I changed the general password of the server to secret but everyone on these forums has an user account on the server so guild members passwords are still their Usernames from the forum (Save for Priory who is simply registered as 'Priory') with the

Password: agency

Shouldn't affect any guild members just wanted to change the password so that if we choose to prohibit Aliendra from coming on he won't be able to connect from elsewhere and so that it's still a relevant password if we get any new members from LotRO who want to come on. And if anyone's worried about a lack of room, don't worry, I'll get an actual registered server if it comes to that (And I hope it does). Thanks guys.

Yeah Ventrillo is just OOC, although I'm sure an IC room could be added. I have to say though I actually draw the line at roleplaying over a mic! Although I fully support those that do. I'm confident just not THAT confident! Haha!

So i will not be "punished" for not using it after the game goes life...hearing and all!
