(arg double-post badness again )
Merry Xmas everyone!
I recently pre-ordered the Dragon Age: Origins Pen'n'Paper RPG (Box set 1) and got given a PDF version of it free (Normally a little over $17)
So I thought I'd be the anti-scrooge and link you all my copy so you can download it yourselves! (I'm way too nice for a Sith)
All I would ask is that if you really like it, go out and get the official box-sets when they come around!
Here's your link and - HAPPY GAMING

*walks in exhausted after weeks of battling HORDES of darkspawn*
Whew! Apart from real life duties (like work and eat and restroom), it's been all about my script and DAO. I'm a sucker for a good storyline and ready to create an RP about the life of an Antivian prince or a wealthy merchant from Orlais or a Qunari bounty hunter from the outskirts of Qunandar in Par Vollen.
Has anyone else gotten caught up reading volumes and volumes of text collected from all around Ferelden? DAO world is way more massive than the game has initially touched.

Hehe
Problem is, everytime I hear them go on about 'The Maker' in DA:O I always hear Londo Mollari from Babylon5 going (in a very russian voice) "Great Maker!" in my head!

Ha!
And every important character in the game greets you the same way when you first meet. They say "Allow me to introduce myself, My name is Duncan/Cailan/Zathrian...
For some very odd reason, we would burst out singing/rapping this song/rap immediately. (That's all the dork I can spare in one confession.)
Wait for 0:22...

New Dragon Age Expansion Spotted Awakening coming to PC and 360 this Spring? by Martin Robinson, IGN UK
UK, January 4, 2010 - BioWare's RPG spectacular Dragon Age: Origins could be in line for a fittingly epic expansion with retailers leaking details of Awakening, a retail pack that's been listed for PC and Xbox 360.
Dragon Age: Awakening was spotted on online retailers by Eurogamer over the festive break, but listings have since been pulled. They offered brief details on the expansion, revealing it would introduce an all new character who would come complete with their own prologue and around 15 hours of play.
Awakening was listed as a March 19 release for the PC, with Kotaku spotting similar details for an Xbox 360 version – although no details on a PS3 version have been spotted to date.
Dragon Age: Origins was one of the highlights of 2009, a return to BioWare's high fantasy past and a fitting addition to the catalogue of one of the most talented RPG creators. In short, then, 9.2.
And the next dlc will come out 5th january

Is it normal that a rouge when attacking (from backstab position), for exampel a enemy with greatsword, that he does NOT backstab all the time? Sometimes he backstabs 2x then 1x normal attack. Sometimes never (but I think that was at a enemy who had that shield shill switch keeps him from geting backsabed).

BioWare Delays Dragon Age: Origins DLC We don't know why, either. January 4, 2010 - Dragon Age: Origins fans will be waiting a little longer for the next add-on of BioWare's fantasy RPG.
Planned for release tomorrow in North America and Europe for Xbox 360 and PC, the Return to Ostagar downloadable content is now being put on hold with no explanation given.
"We're sorry but the planned Return to Ostagar downloadable content scheduled to launch on January 5th has been delayed for all platforms," said Community Manager Chris Priestly on the official forums. "We will update you as new information becomes available."
The PlayStation 3 version was planned for release "later" in the month, BioWare announced last week. Given that the content has been delayed on "all platforms," this may mean Return to Ostagar won't see a release until late January at the earliest.
We've contacted BioWare for any additional info and will update this post as soon as we hear back.

I don't know for sure but its probably normal, I think this game works with a dice roll percentage system where your 80% likely to get a backstap so you'll miss 20% of the time. It kinda reminds me of KOTOR when youd be stood right in front of someone blasting them and the bolts would shoot out at incredibly odd angles so that they missed their target becuase of the damage system, youd come close to bolts firing at 90 degree angles from the gun barrel
