Mission 1 The hunt for Razza Toradou

Rin looked over the details of the information she was sent before setting down a timer. She closed her eyes and listened to the gentle hum of the training droid's engines as they hovered. The timer dinged, Rin exhaled opening her eyes and drew a blaster from her belt. In the next 1.53 seconds five ruined droids fell from the sky. "It'll be fun to finally start hunting something with a brain again." Rin holstered her blaster and sent the confirmation message back to the agency.

Gideon weaved his modified Stinger Starfighter up through the speeding traffic of Coruscant, out of its high-speed lanes and past its glittering towers until the small ship broke atmosphere and the cloudy heavens gave way to the blackness of space.

Setting his ship into an auto-pilot route far enough from any other vessels to safely engage the Hyperspace engines, he took a moment to bring up the details of his latest mission on a holopad that was sitting on the dash next to one of many sets of flight controls.

Picking it up and reloading the data he held it in one hand and rubbed his stubble-laden chin with the other, making a rough scratching noise as he pondered the data.

Razza Toradou it read. Ithorian. Connections with Diras the Hutt.

He suspected he wasn't the only Bounty Hunter on the case, perhaps not even the only Epochian, but that was fine. A little healthy competition never killed anyone...unless it stipulated the mark was worth the same price dead, anyway.

Entering the co-ordinates for Nal-Hutta into the Astronav computer he leaned back in his chiair as the Hyperspace engines initialized and the stars stretched away into long white lines...

Sitting at the controls of The Scoundrel, Tando check the datapad sitting next to him for the status of the latest bounty on the EPOCH database.

.......Mission Accepted by Gideon and Rin Chiasa..........

He was pleased to see it accepted by 2 agents and one of them a Initiate, returning to the Navagation computer, Tando completed inputting the co-ordinates for the location of a meeting he had set up with an informant that might have information useful about the current whereabouts of the target Razza Toradou.

Rin climbed aboard her ship removing her armor and suit before entering the cockpit. She watched the droid entering the navigation data into the ship's computer before sitting next to it; her right leg crossed under her left. "Kota I'm going to freshen up will you be ok alone up here?" The droid turned towards Rin to adress her "Yeah sis, I'll be fine." Rin smiled widely before hugging it "Ok then Kota we're off to Nal-Hutta!" Rin paused before entering her cabin "Oh and Kota, see if that Ithorian's contacts have made any communications with encrypted data maybe he's already knocking on one of their doors."

As Gideon's ship hurtled through hyperpace he was awoken from a rather relaxing nap by the sound of the sub-space communicator; a message had come in for him.

Rubbing his eyes and letting out a loud yawn he stretched as if he'd been asleep for half a day, despite the fact that when he looked at the time on the screen he'd barely dozed off for an hour. The blinking console to his left flashed steadily to remind him a message was waiting, so he dutifully ignored it while he set about boiling a pot of Caf.

Moments later, with the warm beverage in his hands, his behind placed firmly back in his chair and his feet up on the dash of the cockpit, he was finally ready to recieve the information.

The information flashed up over the front viewer, its semi-translucent holo-image overlapping the sight of racing stars as the ship continued on its journey toward Nal Hutta.

Reading through the information from Alums he couldn't help but smirk.

"Rin, eh?" he said to himself. "Now there's a name I haven't heard in a while...."

The update concerned two of the Ithorians' known contacts, one on Coruscant and the other on Alderaan and Gideon almost considered altering the nav-computer but thought better of it considering he was nearly at his destination. Besides, he's just come from Coruscant and was thankful to have at least a small break from the place.
With a nod of confirmation to himself and taking a sip of his Caf he concluded he would visit Nal Hutta first, to see if there was any information about Razza that may have been.....witheld.

Rin stepped out of the shower drying herself casually as she walked to her room. Upon entering her room she began to slip between the stances of teras kasi trying to find her center. She practiced this exercise many times a day to keep flexible and more importantly to reduce stress. Just as she reached the last stance her holopad let out a loud series of beeps, her concentration shattered she stumbled backwards hitting her head against the wall "Ouch, sith spit!" she rubbed her head quickly "This better be the most important thing, anyone has told another person!" she yelled loud enough to pierce the vacuum of space. She looked over the details she had requested before looking at the operatives assigned. "Gideon?!" she yelled before throwing the holopad. "Oh when I see him I’ll kick him right in the, that low down son of a, scruffy looking villain, thief!" Rin threw her clothes on and rushed to the cockpit of the ship "Kota we have to hurry or else that thing will steal our bounty again!" Kota addressed Rin without facing her "We'll arrive on Nal-Hutta soon."

"Sis we'll be landing soon do you want me to take care of the details?" Kota's question was answered with a quick nod by Rin. "I'll leave that to you, I'm going to see if I can't find Gideon and tail him for a bit, maybe he'll know something we don't. At the very least he owes us for that job on Alderaan." Rin took a seat next to a table in the main compartment of the ship sprawling her arms across it with her forehead planted firmly upon it. She drummed her fingers anxiously waiting for clearance; she hated the wait before a job started and was always anxious during those times. When the ship was finally cleared and she was able to move on she jumped for the door practically running out. Upon exiting she was greeted by the crowded streets of Nal-Hutta. It seemed as though everyone carried at least one weapon and that a fire fight could start at any moment. Rin smiled and breathed a sigh of relief, this was her element. Now all that was left was to find Gideon she opened her holopad checking for Gideon's ship but couldn't find it. "He would make me wait." she let out a frustrated sigh before leaning against a wall with a good view of the spaceport's main exit crossed her arms and began tapping her foot anxiously.

As the small craft set down among much larger ships in the spaceport, its greenish-brown paintwork almost camoflagued it among the constant almost-noxious smog. The inhabitants of the hutt-world were used to it, but the strong sulpherous smell made Gideon cough and almost gag as he walked down the supply ramp.

Flicking up his collar and covering his mouth and nose with it, the Bounty Hunter surveyed his surroundings for the contact he was due to meet. It didn't take him long, even in the the dull greenish-mist.

The Snivvian grinned at the sight of him and walked toward him with armed outstretched.

"My Dear Mr Larrs! A pleasure, a pleasure!"

As he went to embrace the Bounty Hunter Gideon extended his elbow to politely keep him at arms length.

"Lets not get too familiar, shall we Gizzet? Now, lets do two things: One, you can buy me a drink at the nearest flea-bitten drinking hole and two; you give me the info I paid way over the odds for.....in that order."

Rin lowered her head keeping her eyes on Gideon, what are you up to now Larrs? She decided to tail the two keeping a few paces behind. Rin pulled on a clasp fixed to her suit's armor; the armor was built to provide protection as well as a quick disguise cloth unraveled from the ablative pauldrons providing a brown cloak and hood. Rin rubbed the hood against her hair dying it black and put contacts in her eyes to change their color to brown. Finally she injected a chemical into her face loosening her muscles to provide the appearance of age. She wouldn't be able to speak but she could still hear. Lets find out what you're doing Gideon.

Luckily Gizzet seemed to know Nal Hutta very well indeed because in less than ten minutes he had led Gideon through several back alleys and 'short-cuts' until, at last, they'd arrived at suitably dingy looking cantina.

The walls were scarred with blaster fire which happned to be an improvement to the exterior as it turned out, adding some much needed variety to the dull green-tinted muddy paint-scheme that covered the entire building. Only one story high it was completely circular, like some giant donut-shaped construction. Two sources of colour broke up the uniteresting facade, the garishly painted sign which read 'Blood Money' and a rather old holo-image of a zabrak pole-dancer girl above it, which seemed poorly maintained and was flickering on and off...

As well as Gideon knew Nal Hutta it seemed Gizzet knew it even better.

"Another shining example of Huttan architecture, eh Gizzet?" Gideon laughed as they approached the building. The form of an unconscious Mon Calamari flew through one of the front windows then, his prone body hitting the hard street with a thump!
The pair walked straight past, paying the poor shmuck no heed whatsoever having seen such things on a regular basis while staying on what the Hutts called "Glorious Jewel".

As they neared the door Gizzet suddenly reached out and took Gideon by the arm, seeming slghtly worried. He leaned in close and whispered to his Bounty Hunter contact.

"Gideon, my old friend..." His voice was hushed, anxious. "I think there is a person following us..."

The Corellian laughed then, something which Gizzet found wholey inappropirate. He flung one of his arms around the snivvian in smiled a rogue's grin.
"...and that, my dear fellow, is why you would make an absolutely terrible Bounty Hunter. There are three people tailing us, not just one. They've been with us since space-dock."
Gizzet went even wider at the eyes then, trying to squirm out of Gideon's grip, but the Bounty Hunter didn't want him going anywhere.
"There's what I think is a Gran stalking us from the rooftops, a Duros waaay too close to us to be a successful tailer and I think I caught sight of a hooded figure too, but they were much more careful than the other two. That's the only one that concerns me."

"But...but!" the Snivvian whimpered pointlessly.

"Yes, yes....argh! danger! peril and all that.... you owe me a drink, remember? lets get inisde before you get shot through the head and I need to go to the trouble of searching your corpse for credits."

Rin watched as the two entered the cantina and then sighed "Sith spit it’s too hot to be wearing this damned thing" she took down the hood and fanned herself by pulling on the broach to let air in. I'm going to wreak of this place for days she thought to herself. Rin sat on the ground and sprawled out as if it were her home. The only way not to draw attention to yourself in a place like this was to be one of the many beggars or at the very least to act like one. She sat for a moment to ponder how best to enter the cantina before settling on an idea. "What’s he going to do if he finds out anyway make me pay a share for the information fat chance he still owes me a few if nothing else."She muttered to herself Rin thought of a past job they had both taken part of and broke into a rant of curses. Two people walked past and threw a few credits to her. Rin stood up quickly fearing a thermal detonator and with a sudden rise of indignation noticed the offering "You idiot I don't need your money!" she yelled throwing the credits at the man. "Then go find some place to die you crazy old loon!" Rin shook her fist at the man as he walked away. She quickly remembered the role she had set for herself and looked around covering her mouth. Alright Rin you just blew your cover right outside of your target's position no big deal you’re still awesome just get in the game! she thought as she hung her head dejectedly. She composed herself and hobbled into the cantina stumbling around and asking for directions to an address she had once used as a safe house always careful to remain within earshot of Gideon and his “friend”.

The Blood Money Cantina absolutely stank, there was no other way to describe it. Different odors, from cooking scents to a variety of legal and illegal drugs and even a cocktail of various races' sweat was enough to almost make Gideon gag. Gizzet on the other hand, barely seemed to notice it.

You've been away too long, Gideon thought to himself. You've become pampered.

"Get the drinks in," The Bounty Hunter said as he broke away from the Snivvian and looked for a suitable table. "And don't get me any of their usual watered-down Vippit-slime!"

Finding a suitably out-of-the way booth draped in shadow (not too difficult considering that the meagre lighting only just broke through the sub-darkness of the vile place), the Corellian sat down and watched the door for signs of his persuers. Trying to stifle a laugh, he watched as the Duros walked in mere seconds after he sat down, looking around him in an absurdly obvious manner. Amateur.
A couple of Humans followed him, covered in dark smudges and semi-ripped clothing but well build and rugged looking. They shoved the Duros out of the way as they entered almost knocking the poor creature of its feet. He suspected they were probably miners, and good ones too if they were able to take a break this early in the day. Moments later a large and well armed Trandoshan walked in - most likely another Bounty Hunter - then a cloaked, hunched humanoid of some kind, a Gamorrean trailing a stick-thin Twi'lek slave girl of (he would guess) no more than ten years old, and a couple of other Humans, one male and the other female, dressed in Imperial outfits.

Gizzet reappeared with a couple of drinks, and squeezed his fat behind in on the opposite side of the table, sliding what Gideon suspected 'might' be a Black Ale, but he's wasn't one hundred percent certain.

"So tell me what you know," Gideon said, taking a whiff of the drink.

Chugging down his entire drink in a single shot and belching exceptionally loudly the Snivvian wiped the froth from his mouth with his sleeve before leaning forward.

"Word is this fella you're looking for - Razza - went to speak with Diras and it all went south. I got people who say that there was some shooting at the Rancor Pit, but I ain't been that way to check it out.[i/]"

"[i]And what of Razza after that? I've got info he has contacts on Alderaan and Coruscant. I need to know which way he's headed, Gizzet."

The Snivvian noded, his bulbous nose dripping out some kind of gunk which plopped on the table and made Gideon lean back in disgust. Wiping his nose with the same sleeve he'd wiped his mouth with, he sniffed.

"Sorry about that, I've been feelin' a little ill lately." he continued, again with another huge sniff. "Yeah, d'at makes sense. I've got a boy as the space-dock says he left here pretty rapidly; his flight records show he was headed for Alderaan. I dunno about the validity of the records but I paid the chump pretty good for the info, and he's pretty reliable."

Rin couldn’t help but grin as she entered the dive. It smelled like desperation and fast credits. The air seemed to carry a charge that put Rin on edge; she could practically feel the murderous intent of the denizens of the cantina. It was as far away from the Hyperion as possible, no guards, no surrendering of weapons, and above all no rich kids flaunting daddy’s cash. In a place like this someone could meet a very quick end with little provoking. Rin kept an eye on the two she had followed in always staying within range of the Snivvian. She happen to look at Gideon as his eyes returned to his contact. He didn’t seem to pay any particular attention to her so she decided to ditch the previous plan instead settling at the bar. She rubbed her cheeks gingerly, the chemical always made them sore.
“Come on hag get a drink or get lost this isn’t a waiting room!” the bartender shouted. Rin glared at him for a moment her hand on her weapon; she tried to convey the message with her eyes. She stared death at the man for a moment before he shouted again. “Look lady get a drink or”
“Careful” Rin said in a low tone barely breaking a whisper “You stick your neck out too far again it’ll end up getting cut” she locked eyes with the man again this time devoid of any emotion, he backed off putting his hands in the air shrugging.
Rin watched a Twi’lek girl, she was malnourished and barely alive. Her eyes had a dead look to them. Rin toyed with the notion of killing the Gamorrean, she had always found their race repulsive and worthless. No one would take a second look if she were to just blast him from here. She grinned wildly thinking of the noise it would make as it died. Then the girl would be free. Rin stopped thinking about it the moment the thought entered her mind. She wouldn’t rob the child of its destiny. She would live or die by her own strength.
“Razza, Alderaan, reliable” Rin had learned to glean keywords from a conversation; people who listened too intently often drew attention to themselves. Rin got up from the bar and began to walk slowly back to the door. The chemical wouldn’t last much longer; she didn’t want to risk Gideon realizing her identity with a glance any further tailing would require her to be in front of the two. She tried to move as slow as she could without raising suspicion in case Gideon called anything to question. All informants said there information was reliable; you could only really tell what information was useful if you knew the informant.
