| Hate to say to this to my new officer, but I did mention the other week that RPing in the forums is optional and that I did bring it up in my last 'A Few Concerns' thread. However, I will hopefully have some free time next week, so I shall be moving along both my RP thread and Dark Secrets. | |

Aye no thats cool, I understand completely. However, the reason I worded it as such was that it had been some time and from a RP point of view the longer things are left the more interest wanes. Whilst I appreciate RP is optional on here, I was just pointing out I would (optionally?) like to get a wriggle on, is all. I also appreciate that people have busy lives (myself among them) which Is why I left things for 2 weeks before bringing it up.

| I noticed that I forgot to put my little arrow on my last post. It's there now, so if folks were waiting on me to post some more before moving on... I'm actually done. Sorry! |

| Blatantly stealing Sureshot's idea, there is now a poll at the start of this thread for people to vote which day folks would like to participate in Dark Secrets.
Nex: For a head's up mate, I may have to NPC your char for a lil' bit until you return - unless you're due back sometime soon, that is!

| I went for Thurs because it's the same as DATD. It's easier to remember and sort of makes Thurs night a digital table-top RP night! (I'll bring beer and Coke ) |

| Arg, looks like I'll be probably not be around often on Wed, Thu and Sat nights now! (at least not around enough to do RP posts :S)
I'm gonna have to alter things to either:
Sunday Night
or
Monday Night
(doing Interactive Stories on Tuesday night.)
I've removed the post at the start of the thread and put up the option of Sun / Mon
Could people re-vote please? sorry!
ps: Oh! 1000 posts me! woot!

| Doubt I can do Sunday's as I prefer to keep that completely free to be honest. Monday's sounds good though. - Quote :

| Following Sureshot's post over at DaTD Discussion, I thought it would be prudent for me to set down the exact rules of how DS is going to play out. THESE ARE NOT THE OFFICIAL ROLE-PLAY RULES THAT GOVERN ALL PLAY-BY-POST, THIS IS FOR DARK SECRETS ONLY. DARK SECRET RULES * Players who are away on L.O.A (Leave of absence) and have stated as such in the Absences Thread will enter SCS (Storyteller Controlled Status) and become an NPC (Non-player character) until they return.
* Players who do not post for 7 days without L.O.A will enter S.C.S
* Players who do not post for 14 days without L.O.A will be written out of the story (note this does not mean killed off)
* When all players have done what they want to in a scene and are ready to move on to a new location (if one has been presented) or are happy to let the Storyteller move on with the story, they should indicate this with the " " symbol at the end of their post.
* The story will be updated and moved forward by the Storyteller every monday night.
All other rules are identical to those in the general RP rules section.
Thanks! | |

| Gosh, Wookeepedia's info on cloaking devices is all over the place. What a mess. I just remember some Imperial dood from the movies saying of the Millennium Flacon "No ship that small has a cloaking device..." but it seems lots do. - Wookeepedia wrote:
- Before the rise of the Galactic Empire, cloaking devices were virtually unknown. Around 32 BBY, Sienar Design Systems developed and built one of the first cloaking field generators...
Era(s) • Old Republic era So I've decided not to contest the Zenith being followed by a small cloaked ship after all. lol! |

| Don't worry Red, when you find out the Orgins of this ship, you wont be contesting it.... you'll be stripping it for parts | |

| Yeah, its a necc evil alas. I've had to use it in the past (this isnt my first Forum RP *Shock Horror*) and although I try to use it sparingly, it does help keep the flow of a story rather than let in languish in dust. Nothing worse than having a great story to tell and sitting there screaming at the screen going "COME ON! DOOOOO something!" (not that I do that here of course... ) | |

| I always update after 10pm (when I'm at work) so no worries there ^^
I should mention on the "RP Update Thread" that I only ever update after 10pm.
I'm just taking my lass back home (across-county fun!) but will update that thread on my return.

P.S. I enjoyed reading you play jedi I liked it. That's a relief! I don't have much experience with Jedi (except reading about them) so didn't wanna screw up! Glad to have ye back, sir! ps: Feel free to post before tomorrow night if you want to, there are no limits on how often people can post between mandatory weekly updates!

| I was going to add a quick post but I'm confuzzled. Can we have a clarification sil vous plait?
Last I looked Lilin and Raif were in the cockpit and Fuze and Nex were in, er, wherever the ramp into the ship is. Because Creed is replying to an ongoing conversation with the Twi'lek ("Creed stared with a look of disbelief as the Twi'lek introduced himself") I'm thinking this isn't a '5mins later they were all gathered...' deal.
Which leaves Sureshot talking though bulkheads again. Which we're all getting good at! lol Can we reconcile this please, or should I pretend it is "5mins later"? |

| Aye, I was gonna mention that, but I do have three ideas: I. Either the ship could be "semi-open plan" (I'm not actually sure how large it is, I'd put it at smaller than the Millenium Falcon or the Ebon Hawk though) so its feasable to assume you may have line of sight from the cargo-hold to the cockpit. Line of sight over such a short distance happily equates to "line of shout", but I have 2 minor quibbles with this idea: a: A ship that has line of sight from an open cargo ramp to a cock-pit makes for an easy assassination attempt on a pilot! something which, while it might actaully be the case in some ships, I suspect WOULDNT be the case in one owned by The Falleen! b: Raif has already used the internal intercom to chat to peeps which would seem kinda lazy if he was within shouting distance! which leads me to: 2. We could just say (If Sure is ok with it) that Creed could have just leaned over and pressed an intercom button before addressing Lilin. This saves him re-writing a post or - if you REALLY wanna be a perfectionist, Sure - you could just add into the post something like "Creed leans over and pressing the intercom, he says.." 3. By far the easiest option, Sure could just change "Miss Cherry Red here..." to "Miss Cherry Red.." implying he intends to speak to her about it, rather than is actually addressing her. Just my 2 creds worth | |
