In the ganker guilds defence, the guild holding the memorial held it in a contested PvP area. Thats just asking for trouble!

yeah but they held it in contested area because thats where she liked to go the most - i dunno was a long time ago i remember first hearing about it and was pretty mad; no action was taken against the players but i mean really when you go to sleep you remember you did that, if you're not a sociopath then it has to eat at you the internet is an ugly place its no surprise that compassion would be met by apathy at best and malice at worst.

Phalanx............Pugliest *Snickers*
If you read Topless Robot theres been alot of hating going on with this idea as well as "Horse birds"
Its a good idea and it makes life more fun for less time rich players but it might ruin the sense of acheivemnt for hardcorer's who's sole aim is to rank as high and as fast as possible, also when your paying a sub for a game that then reduces the speed of which you level you may feel really cheated.
It might have an opposite effect on PvP servers though you may level at the same speed but if some guy has more time he'll have all these ridiculous buffs to use while you still only beginning to level 1 skill :/

I think that'd be great for guild-orientated players like the majority of us as it'll keep everyone at similar levels. I agree with PJK though, if you're a hardcore raiding guild then you just want to get to the high levels and start the endgame. Still, if it stops powerlevelling then I'm all for it!

To quote part of the clip: Lame! Boooo! Stupid!
It looks like opening a nutshell with a sledgehammer.
While you have still the difference between casual and hardcore player you're cutting the hardcore player's wings. If someone want to play 10 or 15 h a day he usually want to go far ahead. No matter what is his motivation. "The one who have no life", the guy who was cut off his game last two weeks or just someone Ill who want to kill some time in bed. Now whit this system you don't choose to play multiple classes as hardcore player - YOU HAVE TO.
And as we know every YOU HAVE TO in MMO means really: Nope, I don't. no more sub. Welcome any other random mmo
The real art is to create so complex game that every type of gamer will find something for him. Going below [rested/normal] xp bar is IMHO bad idea. There are types of MMO where hardcore players have huge advantage, but usually it's basic mechanic game problem. Forcing a gameplay style is the cheapest trick I've ever seen.
Whole idea is nearly as good as Blizzard's real ID invention.

GameCrush 2.0 Launching Today Is the service that lets you play to game with girls ready for the big time? September 28, 2010
by Daemon Hatfield Remember GameCrush, the social site that lets gamers pay to play with girls? It launched back in March – and then was immediately crushed by the flood of curious people wanting to get their game on or just see what the hubbub was about. GameCrush has been in closed beta ever since, available only by private invite. But the company has powered up its servers and is ready to exit the closed beta today. GameCrush is now open for business (to anyone over 18).
There are about 6,000 PlayDates available for you to browse and pay-to-play with. Signing up, browsing, and chatting is free, but when it's time to game it'll cost you $.60 a minute. Company representatives tell us that some beta users have spent up to $10k buying time with PlayDates. PlayDates can earn up to $20 an hour working for the service. Reminder, ladies: it's free to sign up and be a PlayDate. There are apparently several male PlayDates now, as well.
The site has been redesigned for what GameCrush hopes will be a more user-friendly experience. While users could previously look for "flirty" or "dirty" game sessions, now four zones have been created. The Arcade is for relaxed, casual sessions. The Arena is for people looking for serious competition. The Academy is a place where you can learn tips and tricks from PlayDates. The Edge is for Players who might be looking for something a little risque.
The redesigned GameCrush homepage. When it first launched the service only supported a handful of games, but now any game can be played as long as both the Player and PlayDate own it. This includes cooperative and competitive games. GameCrush also hosts its own casual games played on the site, and the company says independent developers are starting to approach it asking about partnership opportunities. While the current crop of casual games is basic stuff like Checkers and a Battleship clone, the future could hold more interesting casual offerings from indie developers.
"Since our initial launch earlier this year, we've seen continued and strong demand for a service that gives gamers the ability to meet, interact and play games with new people," said Annes Iqbal, co-founder and CEO of GameCrush. "To meet this demand, it was important that we focus on the build-out of our community while improving our ability to scale to meet user demand and adding support for nearly any multiplayer game or console. All of these features are now part of GameCrush."
Co-founder Eric Strasser insists that using GameCrush is just like buying a girl a drink in a bar. When a girl accepts the offer, he says, you're essentially buying time to spend with her.
A popular PlayDate who goes by the name SuperVillain tells IGN that she thinks of her Players as friends instead of customers. She doesn't encounter a lot of weirdos, doesn't ever have to deny a game request, and doesn't consider working for GameCrush a job.

XP deduction isn't a big problem imo what made me mad was how easy all the bosses became in wotlk even just solutions to problems in game became easier to solve. If i wanted free crap i'd play a singleplayer on repeat xP tbh i didn't even care about free gear give away cause it let more people do stuff i was doing but just the fact that bosses were being 1shoted first run in the dungeon made my inner gamer die a little each time xD only thing that would make wow challenging now is char perma death after the 10th death D:
exp restrictions don't really put the damper on the hardcores anyway 80 only took about a week and most of the hardcores already had like 7 80s xP
