"....So You're In TOR...."

Lets all imagine it's a perfect world and we're all grouped up like snuggly EPOCHian lunatics with blasters n' sabers and we're about to head off on a large scale massacre of Republican troops for some type of quest. What I want to know is this, knowing that it appears we're getting at least a bit of the old classic trinity of Ranged DPS, Melee DPS, Tank, Debuffer etc. what job would like to fulfil most with your chosen class/character?

Needless to say I'm an obsessive nut when it comes to Crowd Control so thats what I hope to be doing most. I'd love to be the Bounty Hunter darting around from one side of the screen to the other and spraying people with flames & stun darts so they stop dead in their tracks whilst all my other fellow Bounty Hunters can smite the enemy down with heavy firepower. I guess you could say that I'm more in it for the CC than I am the damage dealing, but both is a bonus.

p.s. I do know we all know sweet FA about how this is going to work but heh I thought it'd be an interesting converstion!

I have to say I do like a bit of Ranged DPS, thats why most MMOs I've played I've been a Ranger/Hunter

I think the Jedi/Sith could be the tanks, but I really hope you can customise your class build

DPS seems most fitting for Skursir, if he can unlock bonus dialogue with some form of skill then he'll go down that route, but in battle it has to be DPS, probably mid-ranged.

Hehehe this is looking like it's gonna be quite fun. Me on CC, you at Mid-range DPS, and Tando at long range. I guess I'd have to go in short range sometimes so I can get that Flamethrower in for multiple CC. You've got my back right?

If I can in any way get away with it, Aleena will end up as Tank with some melee DPS.

I have no interest in range attacks with her, I want to be able to taste their tears and smell their fear

Just run around with a Sarlacc in your hands. No blaster bolts are gonna get past that.

Actually I have this Trandoshan in gray & red armour that I thought would make an excellent blaster-shield

I have always enjoyed playing two classes. Tank and support. I like to feel like I'm useful for the guild, and I feel these two are always the first on the teamsheet. Fair enough, I'll probably lose every 1 on 1 combat situation, but I'm in this for the teamplay and the banter.

Personally I probably enjoy the support role the most, so long as the group is well balenced and working well together. I get narked say if I'm stuck buffing and healing a bunch of ungreatful tanks who don't care less! But it can vary depending on who I'm playing with too and what the goals are. I can quite happily run arround with a solo type class with a couple of mates just chatting and crafting.

Ooooo thats my pet hate! No offence to the Tanks amongst you as I'm sure you've all got your wits about you but some of them I've met in PuG's have been an absolute headache. Out of all the roles of the typical trinity I definitely find thats the one I try and avoid the most anyway.
