| Ello folks, I'm coming to all you FPS-types for a wee bit of advice, if I may?
I'm looking at getting a new mouse as mine is really playing up and, to be honest, bugging the hell outta me.
In the middle of some paticularly tense firefights it has this horrible habit of suddenly just aiming skyward/toward the ceiling and spinning like a crazy cat in a washing machine.
So I'm looking at getting something new and am leaning toward a "gaming" mouse....one of those adjustable DPI fellas with 20-billion customisable buttons, but don't wanna spend the earth...maybe £30ish quid max?
Can anyone suggest any?
The ones I've looked at are:
SPEEDLINK SL-6395-SRD Styx Laser Gaming Mouse (£18)
Logitech G5 Laser Mouse (£30)
Logitech MX518 Optical Wired Gaming Mouse (£27)
Novatech Styx 2200dpi Gaming Mouse - Black and Red (£24+p&p)
Razer Copperhead Laser Ultra Precision Gaming Mouse Tempest Blue 2000 Dpi (£37+p&p)
Any of you got any suggestions pls? | |

| I use a Logitech G9 Laser Mouse and I think it does just fine. Maybe a bit more than you wanted to spend? I used to have a Razer Diamondback 3G Frost Blue Which felt just as good, but I had problems with the software and kept getting a lot of driver errors. | |

| I've used the Razer Copperhead and find it way too sensitive!! Slippery little bugger too. But I suppose if you want pin-prick accuracy it's probably great, but I had to adjust the default mouse settings to a slower setting to make it work for me. And even then I still couldn't get used to it. |

| I'm still using my old MX518 (Logitech), had it for years now and am still more than happy with it. It's got 5 buttons you can re-bind and that's enough for me tbh. Never had any twitching issues either (well not from the mouse anyhow, my wrists that's another story). |

| Well In the end I went for a Logitec G5 because I managed to get a special deal on it. Fingers crossed it likes Windows Vistard! | |

| Aye, so long as its the first Kosh, and not the second one. He was a right @%. I may pretend the mouse is a White Star and fly it round my room making lazer noises. (I have a good imagination, the doctors tell me...) Once I'm satisfied with that, I may even use it for some gaming | |
