| For those that haven't read it yet check out the latest GamesRadar interview that I linked in the last update in the media section. I reckon it's probably the best interview I've read yet! All I can say is.... - BioWare wrote:
At the end of the presentation, the point is made that what BioWare have shown is nothing like the MMOs we know of today. Where are the PvP arenas? Or the large, 25+ player raids? Or auction houses? Or, hey, space-combat? Vogel raises an eyebrow. “Oh, we have all that too. We’re just going to wait a little bit to show you that.” That’s a promise that seems too good to be true. Stay tuned. The Old Republic is going to be huge. You hear that?!!! "SPACE @%&# COMBAT!!" Straight from the mans gob in an official interview! Will somebody please get me a change of pants?!

| Lets just hope that wasn't one of the 'minor inaccuracies' that Sean was talking about in his post!

| That's a direct quote from the PC Gamer article I mentioned on the Recruitment thread. - Redwatch wrote:
- I was just saying to LW last night that this month's issue of PC Gamer gave TOR a very positive write up (nothing new news wise but worth a look)
And worth a look it is, though we heard about these things SS has quoted a liitle while back from a Bioware dood. But it's still good to hear Mr Vogel himself confirm them, I agree. |

- Great find, PJK. The thing I'll take away from that interview is all of the official confirmations of content. There's lots of speculation about stuff and assumptions that TOR will have elements featured in other MMOs but at least we now have a solid confirmation of:
- a 'space experience'
- crafting
- guilds
- PVP
- raids
- an economy (player based or why mention it?)
- auction houses (again one assumes for a player based economy)
So yay and hurrah! Subject: Re: Inside Gaming Exclusive: Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic Interview Sat Jun 20, 2009 12:12 pm Okay, not specifically space "combat". You're right. A space "experience" is what the guy actually said. I rembered something about space, erm, stuff being mentioned by an official Bioware bod at any rate! lol |

| Hehehe aye yeah I read the "space experience" thing before, but for me "space combat" reads as something entirely different. "Space combat" suggests we will be in the thick of things and blowing ships to kingdom come, whilst "space experience" may just be leaving a spaceport to go to a base off world. But hey I'm probably getting too excited about this as it is so I shall try and relax! | |

- Each of the classes has their own separate game mechanic, and each needs to be catered to within the layout of the levels. As we trundle down a Star Destroyer corridor as a Sith, we notice abandoned equipment lockers and crevices at the side of the room.
“Hmm. Are they for the smuggler class to hide behind?” “Yes. It’s causing a real headache for our level designers.” I was thinking this was a slip up becuase the smugglers are'nt sith aligned so it "must" be for the Sith assasin/spy class to use cover with, but it could be an enviroment used for both factions I'm sure we'll be going on a sith cruiser at some point. | |

| My favourite paragraph in the entire interview: “We have to ignore the top of the hardcore,” says Walton, talking about those players who will simply ignore the story and min-max their way to the top end of the game. “We need to make a game that is accessible to the Star Wars fan, and the BioWare fan. Because really BioWare is a company that is about making a great RPG experience, not about making games for a hardcore MMO audience.”AMEN. | |

| Glad to hear it. If people like it or not they'll be roleplaying as MMORPG's are supposed to be. Comments like that give me high hopes for the roleplaying as well and how it might effect how strict their policy is. | |

| Sounds good, but it's a bit vague... I'm holding my cheers until I get harder information, until then, for all we know we may just have the same craft from the same quest and just zapping each other like in a Battlefront game. | |
