Edit: I didn't read the thread before I posted and so didn't realize Redwatch had also a character with a bit of Elle Driver in her. I wasn't copying, honest!
Don't worry about it – it's not like I have an intellectual copyright or anything! lol And she is f***ed up cool on a plate.
Nice to see this thread get some love again!

CREED DEKKAR
Creed is a bit of a down and out, overworked and underpayed yet loyal agent and his inspiration was mostly based around a rather awesome character from Blade Runner (I even stole a bit of the name and changed it!):
Rick Deckard
Being a bit of a risk-taker he is often finding himself in situations a bit beyond his control, so naturally inspiration for this came in the shape of yet another Harrison Ford character that we all know and loved from the original Star Wars trilogy:
Han Solo
The third inspiration is a bit odd but it just goes to show that it's just an awesome concept, I speak of course of one my favourite bands mind.in.a.box. Throughout all of their albums they tell a rather dark, cyberpunk tale of an agent thats lost his memory and he's trying to find answers. Not that Creed has lost his memory but he certainly would rather not remember some of things he's done, so the inner turmoil comes from the character simply known as.....

Eamonn Keel
For this character I decided to make a complete ba***rd. Haha! A bit of a departure, as so far this character has yet to display any redeeming features. He's very much a violent thug, if a skilled and focussed one. The recent Voice of the Old Republic video doccumentary made me decide to make my Bounty Hunter fit the "I'm just here to cause damage" ethos.
Main inspirations come from Daniel Craig's take on Bond and the Comedian from Watchmen.
His background Wiki can be found here, and though this will soon become out-dated, I made him for the express purpose of appearing in Darth Mynock's up-comming cross-over RP Knightfall.

Sovay Sovair
This one presented me with a lot of problems which is why her background wiki (found -here-) is my longest to date!
Since nearly every SWTOR forumer and their dog are jumping on the Imperial Agent bandwagon I wanted to take my character for this class in an unexpected direction. I also wanted to play a very different character in RPs to the ones I'd built so far, all of who have been fairly articulate and a bit wordy.
The solution was (or became) to make her a bit of a retard. Her social and linguistical inadequacies would be fun to RP (don't judge me) but she needed to work in-game too. So I gave her an idiot savant edge and made her great with computers and the fact that autistic people often have short tempers, once I'd given her a desire to live up to a freedom-fighter/roguish father figure (in her head anyway), played well into the whole guns-and-orbital-strike in-game combat necessity.
My inspirations were this song: 'Sovay' by Pentangle (it's sort of who in her mind she'd like to be if she could), and trying desperately to avoid her becoming River Tam from Firefly! lol

For my character 36809 there are a multitude of things that have inspired me. I've taken pieces from here and from there, changed, molded and attached extra arms with spikes, axes and chainsaws attached to them to create something that I think is playable with the addition of a kryptonite which every character needs.
For looks my first inspiration was most probably Gaius Baltar from Battlestar Galactica. The mischievous, intelligent and rather psychologically unstable doctor.
For biography and backstory I've taken pieces from Inquisitors and their acolytes from Warhammer 40.000 which all serve a greater good with little thought to their past as well as owning adopted names with supposedly no knowledge of their own name. Specific inquisitors would be Gregor Eisenhorn and Ravenor.
Gregor Eisenhorn (In early days)
Gideon Ravenor (Pre-Thracian Atrocity)
Personality is a tricky thing with 36809. Since he spends such incredible amounts of time playing someone else he has little personality of his own. His personality has often been depicted as a mixture of those he has played and can therefore be rather volatile and most times 36809 chooses to simply be a social void and stick to himself. Wystan Frauka, an acolyte of Ravenor comes to mind.
Quote :
Wystan Frauka - An 'Untouchable', a man with the latent ability to block out psychic activity. Big, chain-smoking and disliked by pretty much everyone (in part because of his psychic blankness. It was mentioned in Xenos that the field untouchables project also creates a sense of fear, revulsion and dread in others.). An interesting difference to the Eisenhorn novels is Frauka's so-called inhibitor, a device allowing him to shut down his natural anti-psi field. He is often found passing the time by reading pornographic data-slates or staring at the female members of the team.
36809 would, when not playing someone else or when not deliberately attempting to be social be akin to Frauka, someone who people don't really like being around while he still provides important and usefull skills to a team.
From Star Wars I've taken inspiration from the Exchange, The Black Sun, The Czerka Corporation as well as many other things.

Haha, just metaphores but I know that most people wouldn't mind axe arms. Robot Wars was an awesome show but nowadays what I've seen of it is just so much worse than I remember. Perhaps because I was a lot younger when I saw it before...

I picked up Rin from alot of places I really wanted to make a character that was "shattered" because of that there is a sort of hemoganization of various characters.
When shes aggressive i think Revy from black lagoon
Cold I think Kirika from Noir or Lucy from Elfen Lied
Then alot of others like ghost in the shell's motoko, evangelion's rei. then shooting skills of vash, spike, chang xP from trigun cowboy bebop and black lagoon respectively. plus kerrigan and nova from sc

....and more importantly lots of inspiration from GOOD anime (there is so much rubbish anime these days) - I have to say that I own most of the things you've mentioned as your inspirational sources for Rin and those that I don't own I have at least seen, so I know what you're talking about.
Helps me understand her psyche a bit better
The worst thing about Lucy from Elfen Lied is that if people had just been nice to her in the first place then they wouldn't have all had to die so horrifically
