I'm torn between Ord Mantell, Coruscant and Alderaan.

'Til we get an ice planet, I'm going with Alderaan. Followed closely still by Hutta.

There seems to be a lot of confusion over which is the Sith 'homeworld' in that article. It says both Korriban and Ziost have been cited as the Sith homeworld. The articale proposes Korriban the species homeworld and Ziost the Sith Order's 'birthworld' - but there're no sources to back that claim up. What a mess!

But at any rate - any ice planet will make me happy! (I'm a January baby )

Korriban is most definately the "species" homewolrd, as in the Sith Species (the ones the Dark Jedi enslaved). Its all in This comic.

To be honest I think they're both considered the Sith homewor;d but just at different points in history.

My current favourite planet Is definitely Tython, I cannot wait to start playing on my Jedi there.

All the planets look pretty good thus far. It was so hard to choose. In the end I went with Coruscant although I'm not sure how much time I will end up spending there. I suppose that's up to the council. (Damn council always meddling with my business.)

Yes, the Council do meddle, that much is true. Theirs is a place of control and obedience for they fear the independance of others and see personal freedom as a weakness to be denied - but take heart, for their is another way if your heart is open and your mind unclouded. Anyone got any thoughts on what planets might be left? I mean, I presume they will keep some back for expansions, but I wonder which ones?

I recon that Nar Shaddaa will make an excellent expansion pack addition jammed chock-full of new and interesting content. I personally think that since the Trooper would need an Ord Mantel type starting point anyway, it makes sense to me not to have to create a whole new one for the Smuggler who can sit quite happily along side his army buddy. Though, saying that it looks like the Bounty Hunter might well start off on Hutta all on his lonesome.

I'm pretty sure you can have a Kaleesh companion Ishad, I saw it on the Darth hater preview link found it, whether or no it'll mean you can play as one is still unconfirmed although, from the fact they're a companion character I'd say probably not, I think alot of the species we've seen are there to fill out the game with speices that people would like to play but maybe would be too difficult to implement that being said they have a twelik comoanion and I thought they'd be a shoe in for a playable species.

As for Nar Shadda I can't see why they could'nt have a low level starting area for Smugglers and then a Higher level area for Troopers and jedi etc, i mean with the Jedi on Typhon, and Sith on Korriban I can see why they have two classes there as your unlikly to go there as any other class but the Trooper, smuggler BH and IA could all start on their own sepearte worlds that have enclosed starting areas.

The starting planets are a bit of a pain for me as I was going to a nice big diagram of all the planets so far who starts on who and what faction each planet has, but The IA has'nt been confirmed yet and the classifications for worlds is a bit useless as alot are independant and some like Hutta are neutal :/

If I remember correctly, in the Ord Mantel Developer Dispatch (or something similar) a BioWare bod confirms that the Smuggler starts off here and says it's because someone has nabbed your ship while you're smugling goods there because of the lucritive civil war.

Since Nar Shaddaa is Hutta's moon, it's possible that it's being developed gamewise as a Hutta zone and BW are just keeping quiet about it. I mean, would a moon be announced as, and listed in the Holonet under, 'Planets'?
