| Keeping in line with Sureshot's Post in the Mercs & Spies section, I'd like to take a moment to explain how I see The Force Adepts and their place within E.P.O.C.H. Lore. Please take into account that this is not 'how you should play your character' as that is entirely up to you. What this means is how E.P.O.C.H. views all Force Adepts within its ranks, not necessarily specific Agents.
Sith Inquisitors
Power. The Force flows through all life and those who learn to harness it for their own ends can become powerful almost beyond comprehension. When the Sith Empire descended upon the unprepared Galactic Republic, the Jedi were painfully reminded of the power of The Dark Side. Spearheading the campaign was the elusive Sith Emperor; a Sorcerer and tactical genius whose dark hand stretched across the Galaxy. Not all were loyal followers of the Emperor however, many felt that more power and prestige could be gained from furthering their own ends, using The Empire as just another tool to sate their thirst for power. Generally powerful loners or Sorcerers who paid lip service to the Empire, these individuals were head-hunted by The Agency as powerful assets to The Falleen and his plans. Those who refused to join were avoided or in rare cases destroyed, but those who joined did so tentatively. The Agency offered them the freedom to work both within and outside of the Sith Empire, and so long as the goals of The Agency and the Sorcerers coincided, a delicate peace was maintained. With a secret base of operations on Korriban, the Sith Inquisitors of the E.P.O.C.H> Agency work for themselves above all others but recognise and respect the power of the Falleen and the powerful web of contacts and resources at his disposal. Their loyalty always a cause for concern, The Agency consider the benefits that come with these Force-Wielding individuals nevertheless outweigh the risks. At Odal Temple the Inquisitors are able to research knowledge even the Sith Order shy away from in relative peace, and can train their skills at their leisure - all the Agency asks in return is the occasional use of their 'special talents'
Reasons for this: Many of the people wishing to play Force Users dislike the fact that it is split into "Jedi and Sith", but we cannot escape the fact that our classes will be called - and based on - Sith. With that in mind, EPOCH will allow any Force Users from a Lore perspective but 'players' will take on the roles of those trained in the Dark Side of the Force. They may not be Sith (or they might, players discretion) but they masquerade as Sith, gathering information on the Empire for The Falleen - and their own ends.
Sith Warriors
War. The powerful Dark-Side champions of the Empire stood at the front lines of the The Great Galactic War, cutting swathes through the battlefields with their lightsabers and causing carnage in the name of the Emperor. With the signing of The Treaty of Coruscant many felt betrayed, considering how close they were to overthrowing the entire Galactic Republic and destroying their ancient enemies - the Jedi Order - once and for all. With the arrival of the Cold War many of the battle-hardened Warriors were recalled to Korriban and Dromund Kass, stopped from fulfilling the task many had trained for years to achieve. Some went rogue, working for themselves and abandoning what they considered a weak Empire, turning their backs on a group they once felt held the Galaxy by the throat but rolled over at the last moment. These individuals went freelance, becoming deadly force-wielding mercenaries. Others chose to remain in the Empire but use it to fuel their own agenda, to strike at the heart of the Republic and eliminate Jedi whilst making it appear they still served the Empire; using the resources at their disposal to travel the Galaxy and service both The Empire and themselves. Finally there were those Warriors who held true to the tenants of the Empire and The Dark Side Code, but felt the current Emperor too weak to do what must be done. Fanatically loyal to the Empire but not its current leader, they sought a more focused ally to help them do what must be done. These Warriors, regardless of origin; have been approached by Agents of the E.P.O.C.H. and offered a chance to pick up where the war left off. Taking the roles of military commanders, they aid the Agency with their knowledge of battlefield tactics and The Force, and in exchange The Agency grants them resources, an information network and allies to back them up as they continue what they consider 'their purpose'
Reason for this: Its highly likely that the majority of Sith Warriors - fighters who use rage and passion to fuel their combat prowess - would be less than happy at having to withdraw from Republic space on the very verge of victory, and see it as an incorrect move by the Empire. Unable to stand against the entire Sith on their own, they choose instead to join E.P.O.C.H. who allow them to continue to do what they were born for - the destruction of the Republic and The Jedi Order.
