I'll be giving something myself due to Harls idea, events like this really leave me with mixed feelings, obviously you have the sadness for the loss of life and the relief that peple are so willing to help but to an extent there are so many more people in the world in similar situations that don't get the same recognition.
Coupled with that at what point do we "pull out" of Haiti? considering they were the poorest country in the Western hemisphere when do people make that distiction of them being ..."saved" considering the conditions they lived in were bad in the first place they probably needed help before the Earthquake.
And what happens when eventually they get over this disaster, I doubt a country so poor will be able to input a system wereby all buildings meet the strict requirements that are needed to withstand earthquakes and as ever the population will grow and living requiremnts will stay the same, so from what I can see your going to have a similar situation down the line again in a few years if not here somewhere else.
