| I'm considering starting a thread on SWTOR which I'm hoping we can find useful.
I've done a couple of searches to make sure something like this doesnt already exist and if the SWTOR search function is to be believed, it doesnt.
I'm thinking of starting a thread to collect together and create a list of all Role-playing Guilds on both the Republic and Empire sides.
To narrow it down though (and frankly help us!) I'm going to ask that only RP guilds in the EU time zone put their names forward.
This will hopefully:
A) Promote all the EU RP Guilds which include not only ourselves but our allies too, and generally increase the awareness of the RP guilds in general.
B) Give us a handy list of prospective allies!
Only thing is, because new guilds will continue to be added over time I'm gonna need people's help keeping this thread alive so it stays near the top and grabs people's attention. Its also likely I'll get some negative attention from Fortards, saying that "rp is isnt important" and other such nonsense so having a presence there would really help to batter them down and shut them up.
Anyone think this is a decent idea?

| Yea great. There r just 2 things that I can say? 1. why do you call it "Thinking of being sneaky..."? 2. This tought might be a bit far fetched, since we dont 100% know that there will be EU and US servers, as well as RP and normal servers, and such. But might be a good idea to try purpose a server a server in witch we (RPers) should gather (this might be even more important if there r no special RP servers). I thougt u might say something like: The first eu servers sorted by Names. | |

| I think this would be particularly handy personally. The only problem I forsee is that Joanne or one of the other Devs will close it due to there already being a Sith Guild Recruitment thread. The one they have hasn't really changed much since it was created and I've noticed quite a few RP guilds that aren't on that list.
If you do create it though then I'll be sure to help out when I can.

I thougt u might say something like: The first eu servers sorted by Names. 1. I'm being 'sneaky' because to the SWTOR community it'll look like I'm just being friendly and organised when in fact the reason I'm doing it is so we can get (hopefully) all the EU RP guilds in one place so its easier for us to find and approach potential allies. I've spent ages going through the two recruitment threads looking for allies for the guild - like TSP and HoD - and it all sounds great but they dont mention what time zone they're in. I go to their website and find they are US time. Bitter dissapointment over and over again; I'd rather avoid that 2. Although its not been officially announced, I'm willing to bet a small moon that there will be RP servers. There is a likelyhood there might not be dedicated RP servers (pure RP) but there will definately be RP servers - even if they are RP-PVP or RP-PVE. You're right though, having a thread RP'ers can come together in is no bad thing. - Sureshot wrote:

Well I don't think they will close it myself (there are plenty of other threads that would need to be closed first!), but I see where you're coming from which is why I suggested this is non-faction specific (Republic, Undecided and Empire can add their guilds to the list) listing. There are lots of posts out there with RPers being attacked by hardcore players and them having to defend themselves and even some pro-rp threads popping up so having another thread primarily devoted to RP and secondarily being a further specialisation in guild organisation should'nt really be frowned upon. But suggestions / comments noted. Thanks guys

| That's great mate and I'm in no way belittling you work there (in fact I was gonna ask if I could steal it!)
What I was wanting to do though is create one on sw:tor.com, not here -something where people either starting new guilds or wanting to promote one they are in are able to continually update it and we (and everyone else) can get an accurate idea of who is out there.
Sorry if it seemed like I was treading on your toes H2, I assumed the one you did was in-house only, for our benefit alone.

| S'okay. I suppose this is a great way of getting info into the guild database as things must have changed by now. Okay, you convinced me | |

Ofc I will H2, you should know me better than that Although I'll have to put Agent Skursir of EPOCH and Founder Harewood of CODEX which still seems a bit odd

| OK the list thread is up and you can find it HERE.
I've only selected a few from H2/Hare's "EPOCH Guild Database" thread because I am quite literally only listing those guilds who are:
EU only (so no international or non-specific time-zone guilds, hence no Prax or GTC) RP guilds (even if only causal) Speak English as their main language (so no french/german/italian only etc guilds)
As I say in my post this is not about discriminating, I'm just aiming only for guilds that match those 3 criteria (which are those we would be looking for as allies here at EPOCH anyway).
If people could help keep this thread alive I'd appreciate it. Please also remember to rate it upon your first reply!
Thanks,
- LW
(EDIT: Oh, and I've not added C.O.D.E.X. because as a guild its not live yet, and although there are plenty of "french speaking" or "german speaking" guilds in h2/hare's list I've not added them hoping they will come forward themselves and if not, it gives me an exuse to update the thread over time with them, thereby keeping it bumped)

| Wow thats really well writeen LW, and with added Admin deletion prevention measures Should we reply on this and dicuss the importance of it or why we think this lst would be useful or should it be soley used as a "headcount" thread for guilds? | |

| Either / or mate, the OP is the important part so to speak, but any discussion around it is not a problem - its a forum after all.
Cheers for the support!

| Well thats 3 guilds added overnight @ Hare: Did you want me add CODEX, thinking about it? or would you rather avoid attention yet until you're ready to open your doors? | |
