Right I've got this bonkers rave thing on Saturday and i need to hunt for some clothes that are kinda Edwardian/Fetishy/Steampunk. Any idea of where the hell I can start looking for some? Obviously I don't mean in Reading cause I only know one of you from here. I was just wondering where the @% I should look for these kinda items?
I've got the fetish stuff covered but if you have any ideas let me know. I look to you L-Dubz as you're a pretty alternative guy with an alternative lady, and alternative ladies always know best.

Oooo, you've probably left it a bit late to order from ebay. Some sellers have great Victorian/Edwardian tailcoats!

Yeah I have I was gonna look through some decent fancy dress shops (not the crappy ones). That seems to be my only hope.

I admit to loving the whole Steampunk look (and genre in general) but I've never got to the stage of actually buying any (I don't have any mates local enough to warrent such shinannigans)
I know Kato makes some ace stuff (Steampunkcouture.com) but I have no idea on prices / how long it would take to get them.
KinkyAngel does some (I believe my other half has got jewellery from here before)
Not sure whether Clockwork Couture ship to the UK but I've heard good stuff about them.
In all honesty though, I've been surprised in the past when a lot of people say they've made the stuff. Its the most original way of going about it, and the cheapest too.
All you need is someone who can sew and someone with some vision....and an Army Surplus store ^^. You can get stuff like military jackets from there, goggles, etc. Run down to any "older" tobacoonist to pick up a pipe if you can (even if you don't smoke!) and if you have any old clothes or boots you can tear to pieces and re-invent, so much the better!
that event does look cool and I'm jealous that you get to go, so I expect to see photos, dammit!

It's like the subliminal messages in the ads in Family Guy:
