Nosyd's Sigs

I was looking through my Photobucket folder and came across all the sigs I'd made over the years. I thought I'd post some here to show you guys. I have quite an addiction when it come to sigs. I'm always creating them and trying to improve them. Heer are a few I've done for various guild forums and some have been requested by forum users.

If anyone would like a sig making just post here and I'll see what I can do.

Great Nosyd, you have many great sig

They're great! (but then I already knew you had sig-skills because I've not only seen your one for here but also the funky Farother one over at lotro!)

I love the repeated format of some of them where you have a regular sig rectangle and then a smaller square showing a focal point (like the Farother one!), they're especially eye-catching.

You'll have to give me tips on how to make stuff expand round the edge of borders using transparent backgrounds too, I had a devils-own job doing so with my latest Ree avatar and had to bug poor Red to help me with it!

Awesome sigs! I can see that you have some real talent in this! I'm sure you'll get some requests in the near future...

Thanks guys. They are all from various games I've played like, Age of Conan, Chronicles of Spellborn, SEED(one of the best games I've ever played for roleplaying. The game was shut down only after about 2-3 months, shame really), LOTRO, Pirates of the Burning Sea and others.

Lunerwolf, I use Photoshop and use different layers for the sigs. Layers for text, images, shadow, borders etc. I create the sig and once finished delete the background and save as a .png. That way the background is transparent.

Cheers mate, I do the same; but I still seem to get pixelation that really ruins the look. Mind you saying that, it could just be 'cos I dont have much practice! Only time I tend to use layers is to do things like add text over images and the like.

I better put in more practice ^^

Back to the thread at hand though, those are some sweet sigs!

Alas I have no space! Currently I'm living with my old man as he is a wee bit on the ill side and I'm his live-in carer (yep, I go to work at night and am a carer then come home and am....a carer again! wOOt!) and only have a tiny wee room which I have to cram all my stuff from a previous house and marriage into. I have this tiny desk in the corner of the room so small that it only fits my mouse and keyboard on it; both my monitor and rig are on brackets on the wall (its a bit like how "hacker" neo is at the start of the matrix, except in a small bungalow on the south coast of England, LOL!) so I really have no room for anything like a graphics tablet.... or a scanner....or a printer..... or....well, anything really!

Still, I nearly have enough cash up to move out with me wee lassie and my old man has a new romantic interest so frankly SHE can look after him now! I plan to get a massive long desk and have at least 3 rigs and space for 3 laptops on it. Anyone for a LAN-gaming night, come give me a shout, !

Yeah, I remember you saying you have tiny amount of workspace. Still, whenever I'm using my tablet my mouse and keyboard are put to one side (keyboard plonked down on top of the tablet for text input). The Wacom Bamboo One is an amazing bit of kit for the price and a space saver.

I doubt I would use it for actually drawing, mainly re-touching and 'fiddling' - like the avatars and sigs and such - do you reckon it'd be worth it, fellas?

or should I save up and get the BAMBOO FUN? dumb-@%&# name but it seems to have a few more features....I'm woried about losing the pen...

I've had mine for a few years, got it as a pressie from the wife. I don't use it as much as I thought I would, but I don't do much actual drawing. This is the one I have: Wacom-Graphire4. I'm not sure if you can get that one now though. If you can afford it, I'd say get one. I'm sure you would find it usefull.

The font for Tando's is Capture it and the font for mine is CGM Locust Resistance

Thanks, that's a fab website. Is it fairly new do you know? The last time I went searching for fonts was years ago! lol My collection is in real need of an update, so this will keep me happy for a good while.

I'm not sure how old the site is, but I've been using it for a good few years now. It's a great site, with loads of free fonts.

Like the style of the 14th one down.
