I've just seen this on swtor.com:

Got a Question for The Old Republic?
We're talking to the devs next week, and we're offering them your questions.

July 15, 2009 - Do Jedi Knights dream of electric sheep? What do Sith Lords like to do in their off time? Do you have a question about Star Wars: The Old Republic? The sci-fi MMORPG knocked our socks off at E3 last month, and now you have a chance to ask the developers themselves about the game.

I personally have loads of questions I would ask the Devs, but they're probably a lot of the ones everyone else would ask like
"I know you won't tell us what but will there be other playable species besides Human?"
or "Considering (almost) every species speaks Galactic Basic, can we finally hope for an MMO where the factions can talk to one another, especially when, in other games an Orc - for example - player character can't talk to a Dwarf player character, yet they seem to be able to understand Dwarven Quest Givers just fine?"

That sorta thing.

Thinking along the lines of WoW there Lunar... I think they'd dodge the release date questions. They probably have a whole class just about how to dodge it! Personally, I'd ask if we'll see Trandoshans in the game. Simple yes or no answer and with a high probability that it won't be dodged!

They'll just say something like "Details regarding species information will be released at a later date", thereby not answering your question and actually avoiding saying whether there will actually be any non-human races.

The "ask the Devs" thing will be like all these "Ask the..." ones, it'll be an excuse to do some market research without really revealling much info, going over the same old stuff and giving it a new spin.

Then again, you never know - BioWare might be different to other games companies, that last dav vid showed some pretty radical ideas with the voice acting...

Oh my GOD! I can't believe you admited Gaming was a Hobby!

I'd ask the devs if we can wear non combat clothing, stuff just for visual affect with no stats. Something like what they do in LOTRO would be fine. I'm a fashion victim when it comes to MMO's and clothing I'm afraid.

I'd ask for an example of how crafting will be implemented. Something that isn't a BIG reveal spoiler but something we all know is going to be in the game that hasn't yet been talked about. I recon they might answer a question along those lines. Maybe.
