| Looks so much better with two happy slices of awesome! I think we can safely say that for the subject, you can put in "The E.P.O.C.H Slicer" Oh, and I've finished the special part of the newsletter. Suffice to say, it's nice! Oh, and L-Dubz has voluteered (after a sharp prod) to do the Holonews! | |

| Looks a bit too much like a force-user. Though it's good, I prefer without the hood. | |

| Really? I don't think so in all honesty. Maybe its because I see way too many hooded types both in - and out - of Star Wars that arent Force-Users.
I can do another one if needed, but not before tomorrow unf.
I'll do as is needed, ofc.

| those eyes though.....its like looking at the freakin' Hypnotoad.
Oh, and I know this might seem like a trivial thing, but I'm a stickler for details...
looks like "HoloNet" didn't come into existance until 553 BBY (or 3,100 ATC) (see source info here), so I won't be using that as the name of the news broadcast for my part of the newsletter.
However, it seems holographic communication existed way back in 5,000 BBY (8,653 BTC) because Holycrons were in frequent use by jedi in "The Golden Age of The Sith" comics. It stands to reason then that by the time of SW:TOR (3,653 BBY / 0 ATC) something very similar to HoloNet existed.
I'd consider it pretty much the same (just not as exceptional range and more liable to hijacking that the HoloNet), so will call it the "HoloWeb".
Hope this makes sense! | |

| Hmmm. I'm not so sure, you know L-Dubz. Just because a news channel was founded in the year 553BBY doesn't automatically mean the Holonet wasn't around before that (whatever it was called). Besides, the reason I was surprised by your post is because the argument is academic. Bioware have decided that the "galactic communications grid" for the Old Republic era has the name "Holonet", as we've all seen on the SWTOR website: Though I know they're mixing RL website functions with SW lore names, I think it’s rp-like use here shows that we can expect to see "the Holonet" as we know it, called "the Holonet", used in TOR. |

| I honestly had'nt seen that Red - or at least, I saw it and it hadn't sunk in - Thanks for pointing it out! Though I think BioWare haven't thought this one through (yeah, I'm disagreeing with them - I doubt the BBC will be around for another 3,000 years...), it's 'their' game, so..... Alter things, I will! As it happens, I luckily only mention "HoloWeb" a few times in my stuff I sent to H2, and it can easily be changed to "HoloNet" without impacting on the story whatsoever. Cheers for bothering to check into it, dude. Happy to be proven wrong! | |

No problem. Your doubt got me doubting and because all my character Wikis make a reference to the Holonet at some point, I was afraid I'd missed something and went running off to check Wookiepedia! lol Wookeepedia doesn't put any date to the Holonet's inception (which is why remember okaying the references in my Wikis [and what made me panic about your post!]) but since the official TOR site uses it, I'm not going to worry. And since Wookeepedia's database is made up of cited canon precedents (lots of KOTOR ones included) I'm sure it won't be long before it specifically lists the Holonet being around in the Old Republic era thanks to Bioware, rightly or wrongly. And I've just remembered who that pic of the "Mysterious Falleen" reminds me of... SUBZERO!!!! Hahaha! Muchos borrowed cool! ('Cool' – geddit??) |

| LOL! Yeah his mask was actually stolen from Scorpion if I remember right. Oh about that pic actually L-Dubz, is there anyway of making it a purple colour? Just wondered as that might help to distuingsh him from your average force-user. Oh and I'm assuming Tando is still giving it that crazy (i'm hacking into your mainframe , stealing all your things") gloss over the top? | |

| @ RED: Hehe, well for fear of slipping off-topic, yep that is where the mask comes from, its a generic poser object used to recreate Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Reptile and it just seemed to 'work' with our boss-man.
With regards to the HoloNet News section of the Newsletter I've altered it slightly on some of the Chief's suggestions, but expect to see a lot crammed into the first 'Holosode".... including a wee 'blast to the past' for some of our first few registered Posters...
@ SuSh: Make the hood purple you mean? yeah sure no problem but I didnt give too much thought to it because I assumed it was just going to be hit with and overall "green" filter like the previous image?

| I've just seen Lunarwolf's newscast and I must say, it is brilliant! I'll keep it under wraps until the release though. Expect a few added sparkles into the newletter that aren't on the job list but anyway - it's good stuff. I'm going to rely on Sureshot to put in the guild leader's message along with that fancy hooded pic, so no need sending. As for Priory, the general guild and forum updates are yours. They're the core of the guild however, so handle with care Though of course, I know you will. | |

| Thanks for the kind words there, H2! It was a slow starter (Priory and I were both chatting last night while I wrote the HoloNews segment and he was doing his Intro RP post), but suddenly took off. It's worth checking it for Spelling or Gramatical mistakes though (or I'm happy to, if you like) because I finished quite late and my eyes were goin' all fuzzy | |

| Yes, I recieved the questionnaire SS and I'm keeping it along with the answers. You'll get it all when I'm done with the entire thing. The deadline is for the 31st of July, though lets aim for the 20th to get it all in and then we can have a breather . With that, may I please ask that we move back to SS's thread for discussions concerning the current issue. Jobs and other bits and bobs that concern the newsletter in the long run should remain here. I've also found a juicy bit of leaked intel, so that's covered for this month, though I still want someone to fill the slot please. | |
