Good news thread

We need more good news!

Mine is that i finally found a game i have been looking for for some time now, Knights of the Old Republic! As you may know that game is hard to get these days but i was able to find it in a "collectors" box that has 4 more other games in it!

-Knights of the old Republic

-Empire at War

-Battlefront

-Jedi Outcast

-Republic Commando

Yep, picked that up the other day myself since my versions of KOTOR went walkies :S

Alas, KOTOR and KOTORII both hate Windows Vistard, so I cant play them, even in "XP Compatibility Mode" - I'll prob make a Windows XP machine just to play 'em though, I love them that much!

Its a great box-set though, I like Empire At War too, that was good fun ^^

I got the game when it was first released

I might have to check out that box set. I've still got my treasured original X-box copy of KOTOR but the others interest me.

Works for me...however i did threaten my hardware a bit!

All I get is a white screen giving the impression of a DirecX/Direct-Draw, Graphics Driver problem, yet all of those are up to date.

I'm using Vistard Ultimate 32-bit however, which also seems to hate newer games like Assassin's Creed :S

I see well sorry to hear that, i only "drive" the bloody thing...don't know what makes 'em tick hehe!

Well, a friend lent me Dawn of War 2 and I must say - I love it!

My good news, well...my little ones and my lady, and to be honest she is more 'o a mother to my children than anyone has ever been
despite the fact that there are almost 20 years between us!

It's been sunny all week here in Norn Iron. A first in my lifetime! I might get that boxset, as there's a couple of games there I never owned.

I found Knights of the Old Republic 2 as well!

And coming thursday i will finally see my lady again...

I just got some great news today. I've been offered a temporary 6 month job working for Lancashire County Council! Hopefully leading to a permanent position. I should start next week or the week after. Great to get some good news for a change.

Thanks, it is a load of my mind. It will be great to be able to pay some bills again. Just need to sell the house now and get rid of some big debts. I won't be around to look after my wife though, but that will have to be something we deal with somehow. We do have some great neighbours to help out.

I passed all my exams!
Found out this morning, passed all of the including the one I mixed the dates up for and didn't have time to revise for lol
Also means i can deffinatly afford my new comp as well now!

CONGRATULATIONS mate, you must be well chuffed! (especially about the one you got the dates wrong on, lol!!)

Wierd thing is i did better this time with 5 hours revision then I did the first time with days/weeks of it

Congrats Priory! Geez, you must be feeling really good right now. My advice - go and celebrate. Dance around that new comp, have a chinwag with some mates and add a beer or two to the mix - you've earnt it!
