Alliances & Adversaries

According to this we have a chance to ally ourselves with 3 allies and 3 adversaries:

We will make reasonable efforts to place as many qualifying groups of allies and adversaries as possible together on the same server. Given the volume of anticipated guilds (as well as other factors), we unfortunately cannot guarantee that all specified allies and adversaries will be placed on your server.

It also appears that we will be designated to certain servers via timezone. So in accordance to the new rules, who would you pick as our adversaries/allies assuming we get 3 each?

ALLIES:

1. Hands of Darkness
2. Sith'ari Path (assuming they're going European)
3. The Black Wings


ADVERSARIES:

1. The Praxeum
2. Paragon Paladins
3. ?


The reason I've left out S.D.I is because they've chosen PvP as a focus and the reason RoM have been left out is because they've chosen a US timezone.

If this means we only get 3 choices in total then obviously I'd go with this:

1. Hands of Darkness
2. The Praxeum
3. ? (I'd have to think hard about the last one)

They look like the most sensible choices in my opinion anyway.

I would pick out RoM because they are historic allies. We may or may not play with them if they pick US server and if we pick EU. Yet as said I'd pick them up because well... they are our allies since even before I was around.

Quite honestly those Paladins or Black wing... Those aren't allies, I don't even know them! No offense meant against them...

Nah, whilst yes the RoM are historic allies with us, it looks like they'll be limited to play-by-post RPs due to choosing a US server, and since they've done that there's no way we can play with them without being potentially dragged onto one ourselves.
The Paladins are a loose connection. We contacted them a long time ago and we've heard from them in piecemeal. I suggest ditching them both in favour of the Sith'ari (a little bias here), I honestly think they're good guys to go for, and besides, it's better to have more allies than enemies.
And as for Black Wings, I have absolutely no idea where they sprung from.

Well there were talks with the Paladins a while back but I don't think anything came of it. As much as I'd love to see RoM make it into our final alliance list, I personally can't see it happening due to the amount of differences between the two guilds.

Here's what it says on their guild page:

Whilst ours looks more like this:

# Allegiance to: The Sith Empire
# RP
# English, Europe (GMT)
# Moderate (10-20 hrs/week), heavy roleplaying, scheduled play sessions, forum and website usage required, chatty/talkative

So my point is if we don't put RoM who are indeed an allied guild, let's no put non-allied guilds like those paladins or black wing...

After reading the new alignment section things are looking promising! We have the choice of 3 allies and 3 adversaries by the looks of things . Anyway I'm intrigued in swapping some ideas with some of the guild leaders (that means you Big Momma D.) about what would best benefit our chosen server, should the newly applied rules stand.

Ideally I think it's best if we get all leaders of EPOCH, HoD and the Prax together for a bit of a chat but there's no rush. At the end of the day I'm just making sure that my guild end up on the same server as the best.

I think there is a select group of RP guilds that we should all make sure band together, and agree we'll need to all meet up and discuss our options.

Now about the Sith'ari Path, I agree that they'd make the perfect ally (and have) but I even have my doubts that they'll make it to launch due to the lack of activity and preparation. I can't even find them on the Guild pages. lol!

Well that was a surprise I have to say. It seems the Path are very interested in joining us on the server we all get "dumped on".

Assuming they can all agree to go on the same server then we should have our second official Phase 2 ally. Fingers crossed!

Although all the Guilds who have contacted us in the past have been courteous and interested, if it looks like we pick 3 Guilds total rather than 3 allies & 3 adversaries (which BW could be a *tad* more specific about ) then my money is most definately on:

* Hands of Darkness (Ally)
* The Praxeum (Adversary)
* The Sith'ari Path (Ally)

Though of course we're actually neutral so it should read:

* Hands of Darkness (Opportunity)
* The Praxeum (Opportunity)
* The Sith'ari Path (Opportunity)

Well if it's only 3 combined then yeah I think thats the best bet for all 3. I'm still waiting for a confirmation from the Praxeum and I believe a final decision from the Path will be coming next Monday.
