The two best JB movies ever are Casino Royal and Dr No
The worst are Moonraker it was awfull so bad that Execution by firing squad is a good choice for the Crew of Moonraker then played in that Movie

1. Timothy Dalton (Serious, bit dark, but still with humour. Great actor, and the setting was bit more modern than with Sir Connery. In License to Kill he's stubborn and have problems with authorities, but he's not plain stupid as "new" "bond". Very balanced potion. 2 favourite movies I must say.)
2. Pierce Brosnan (Modern come back. I liked Brosnan as James Bond. The last good one for me. Pity, he had to play in the WORST FRACKING BOND MOVIE EVAH! - "Die Another Day". It started well - so well that even modern "Salt" is just the rip off in few places. But then, after the Cuba part it goes down the drain. With final katana fight on the Northern Korea military plain... Jesus Christ WTF?! Mutant Asians + ice palace and OMGsatelite weaponAgain made "Moonraker" damn cool movie (TBH I love Moonraker as the most lulzy Bond - and all R.Moore Bonds are lulzy
3. Sean Connery Ex aequo with Brosnan I think. The Best girls in the whole series Oh dose days! Ursula Andress, Lana Wood... But sometimes the gadgets and environments are so funny without intention because of the movies years. Still, great cinema!
4. Roger Moore (He did it for the lulz - still - he have Christopher Walken as Zorin! I was watching his James Bond movies many many times as a kid. Still funny!
5. George Lazenby (He was OK - and OK "is not enough" for James Bond

I never really saw why people like the series so much imo i think compared to the mental image of why james bond rocks isn't caught by the movies. I think its better just to hear about james rather than to actually see what he actually does. TBH i think the bourne series is alot better but i don't like that one so much either. If you want spies it has to be ghost in the shell ;D just the lingo along with other actions like media black outs semi military action assassinations misinformation spreading hacking people cars records weapons and androids i mean thats what you want from a spy someone who goes in and doesn't even need information about the battle field and the opperative forces the field to work to its advantage. James sort of just seemed like he happens to get to this place or that place and there are neat little cold war gadgets that just don't do it for people now that people know how to make chemical weapons spy cameras and tap phones in civilian life or can find out how to do that stuff on the internet. Lol when i see a spy i want someone that can get into berlin snipe hitler from 5 miles level three buildings for a distraction clear a room of guards with a single clip then take out seven more at once in hand to hand finally making it back to their country before the investigation team can find the building the shot was made from xP

I'll agree with you Random that GITS is awesomely epic but you just can't compare it with Bond. Those are two different (and too different) to be compared. It's just like asking what is better between a football game and a basket ball game. Different rules, different players...
Bond shouldn't be compared to Bourne either: one movie is a spy one, the second is a superhero. Bond's got nice cars, nice girls, cool gadgets (put them in their timeframe too cause you can't judge a 1970's movie with our 2010's criteria...) and he's just too awesome for the hundreds of goons sent after him. To me he's more some kind of Batman than some kind of spy.

yeah but thats the thing its because you can't adapt bond to what people want today that i think its bad if you tried to put gits into ww2 or even like the american civil war they would still be able to function since the idea is about misinformation i feel like bond is they guy that just runs in and shoots hoping that he gets lucky. for bond to be good for me i'd like to see alot more spy games alot less cars/girls/quarky gadgets like the click pen bomb - or shampoo knock out gas it all seems cold war esque to me, i'd like the feel of bond movies to change for the times and focus alot more on info/misinfo and the actual mission rather than woah the car rocks! WOAH that chick is so hot WOAH THAT HELICOPTER IS ALSO A CAR AND A ROCKET SHIP! and all bourne really does is parkour/drop off the map/use karate on security guard 03 i think the reason he seems so capable is just because hes fighting joe anyone off the street. but i mean in all reality lots of people just "drop off the grid" or know enough karate to do throws/pressure points and i know someone who does parkour stuff that i think is suicidal but he sure has no problems with it xP i guess it just comes down to i don't feel like bond is a spy since a spy is all about the information as much as hes a black op soldier like our navy seals or the rangers people who do combat on covert operations. i certainly don't think he'd be epoch material

Of course, Bond isn't a spy, he's g****m superhero! Spies are very different, they specialise in their own field of expertise. They're either analyst, SigInt specialist, HumInt agents or black ops operatives, not all at the same time. Bond's a hero and heroes just do amazing things we poor people can't do... that's part of the 'dream'!
Anyway... Casino Royale is much more credible even if it's more "bling-bling". Just don't watch bond thinking it's real stories: just alike Superman or Spiderman, you need to agree that whatever you'll see it's fun and cool. Be that possible or not...

There's my list!
As for movies...

Bond 23 Officially AnnouncedDaniel Craig is back.
Now that MGM has worked through most of its money problems, the 23rd James Bond movie is finally back on track.
The Wrap and Variety are reporting that the studio has officially announced today that the as-yet-untitled film will go into production later this year and premiere Nov. 9, 2012.
Daniel Craig will be back for his third turn as 007, and Sam Mendes (American Beauty, Jarhead) is still on track to direct. Neal Purvis, Robert Wade and John Logan will write the screenplay.
No word yet on which studio will distribute the film for MGM, but at this point… just be glad you're getting another Daniel Craig Bond adventure.
