Meeting in the Cloud City

Gideon put the Pazaak cards down in disgust. Fate was not his friend tonight. Looking around
the table at the faces of the remaining players, they all hid behind their cards with blank faces like they
were professionals...which of course, they weren't. With a smile and a shrug he stug the cigarra back in his
mouth, unlit; and smiled.
"Sorry lads, that's me out." He stood and pushed back his chair, stepping away from
the table. Turning away he surveyed the rest of the elaborate and richly decorated "Aurum" Casino.
He was glad to be back on Cloud City - Bespin had a real class to it.
Reaching the bar he pulled up a stool, and nodded toward a drink, which the bar-droid set about getting.
There weren't many people at the bar, most were at Pazaak tables or standing around. He didn't mind too much,
he liked the elbow room.
Gideon Larrs takes a sip of his drink
For once, Gideon wasn't dressed like some dirty spacer. He'd had a wash, a shave and hell,
he was almost in what could be considered a 'suit'. He didn't scrub up too bad either.... He still had his
pistol on him of course, but it was concealed (no point upsetting security), but no armour whatsoever - even
his personal shield was back in his hotel room. Gently nodding to the sound of the music, he took another sip.

Kleti made pause in dancing with her client and went to bring some drinks
She was dresed in almost trasparent violet dress with intricate silver jewelry covering her neckline, and belt.
Her long hair were ligh blueish colour with white strands, and eyes dark green. Both wrists covered in countless braclets.
Kleti approched bar and made order for drinks, then turned around and sent smile to her companion.

Nursing his drink, Gideon had a hundred things running through his mind: the fact his contact never
showed, the missing shipment and the fact he'd been ratted out by some merc on the way here... but all of
that faded from his mind when out of the corner of his eye he saw the woman with the long blue-white hair
reach the bar and bend over it to point out some drinks to the droid. She was a few feet from him, but he
had to do his best not to stare at her esquisite form..
"Woah... ",he thought to himself.

Kleti took two glasses of wine and went to the table where red skined female, dressed in darkred gown was waiting.

Gideon's hazel-brown eyes watched her walk: she had style and grace, something one isn't normally
born with. Must be trained, he thought to himself as she walked away from him and joined her crimson-skinned partner.
With a grin he turned to the droid and got its attention:
"You... what's her name?" he said, pointing his thumb behind him.
"I have no idea sir," The droid said in a robotic monotone.
"She has been here for some time however. Do you wish me to enquire?"
Gideon shook his head. "Nah, its good. Leave it." Turning from the droid he spun his
stool around and casually watched the couple. They seemed to know each other, but lacked the closeness he would
expect from friends. Work colleagues maybe? business partners?
He chuckled to himself silently. "Gideon old boy, you're far too inquisitive..."

Kleti kissed her companions cheek for good bye " till next time, my dear".
Mysterious women left leaving Kleti sit alone.

Raising his eyebrow inquisitively, Gideon watched the woman leave. She had a confidence about her,
but he couldn't quite place what it was. More importantly however, she'd left the violet-dressed woman alone.
He admitted he was interested, why such a beauty would be here alone. He wondered if maybe she was
waiting for someone so decided to slowly finish his drink. If she was still alone by then, he'd go say 'Hi'.

Kleti decided to finish wine and after that go home... High heel shoes she was wearing were not very
comfortable, and she was imagining how she will kick them off and fall into bed.

Finishing his drink, Gideon watched the woman a moment more and saw she was close to finish
hers as well. Turning back to the droid he motioned it over. "Same again for me and....get me a glass of whatever
the lady there is having." When the droid reappeared with the drinks, Gideon picked them up and made his way over
to the young womans table.
"Excuse me, Miss?" He said politely. "I was wondering if you'd care for another?" he held out the
wine glass before gently placing it on the table, an open invitation. He didn't sit down however, he waited to see
if she was happy for him to do so or not first.

Kleti smiled " please join me" she invited stranger

With a smile he sat himself down opposite her. "My name's Gideon," he said with a slight nod.
"I'm sorry to trouble you but there is a rather shifty looking Rodian behind you - no, don't turn round - who's
been staring at your for some time. You looked like you were about to leave and well, I don't think it'd be a great
idea if you walked home alone. Not yet, at least."

"I can defend myself don't worry:) if someone atacks me.. first i will throw these shoes at them." she looks
under the table " Because they are killing me.... my name Inara. Nice to meet you... Gideon"
She whispers his name in a way that makes a man feel he is special, one and only to her.

Gideon Larrs laughs a little and shakes his head
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to suggest you can't look after yourself...Inara. Hell, he's probably just
a harmless admirer."

" i doubt about that... maybe he looks for you?" she makes miscievous smile.

Gideon Larrs nearly spits out his drink
"Lets not go down that road, shall we?" he smiles again, showing he got the joke and didn't take offence

"Ok no more jokes about rodians..." she nodds.

[Gideon Larrs] " So do you live here, Inara? or just visiting - like me?"
[Kleti] " Visiting"
Gideon Larrs nods in agreement
[Gideon Larrs] "Cloud City is quite amazing, isn't it? I'm in the Royal Hotel, just across the street.
Gotta say I was lucky to get a room - they're usually booked."

[Kleti]"Indeed ... its like more spacious station.... reminds me my home. But still all crowded in one spot"
[Gideon Larrs] "Your home? you were born offworld then?"
[Kleti] " yes, at the space staion.. what about you?"
[Gideon Larrs] Gideon's trademark grin vanished for a moment as he thought back, sadness creeping momentarily
into his heart. As thoughts of his mother, father and J'neera' came back to him, he had to fight a lump in his throat.
Then he sighed and smiled again."Me? I come from a sleepy little town called Bela Vistal, on Corellia."

Kleti notices Gideons mood change.
She rises glass " lets drink for ... any idea for that?" she makes laughter
" Fine drinks and good company. " he replies with a wink
" For companions" Kleti smiles and drinks.

"So where are you heading to from here Inara? I'm a bit of a night owl; I doubt I'll be heading
to sleep any time soon. Fancy heading into the city? I only get to come here once per year and I've only got tonight
and tommorow left." He paused to take a sip from his drink. "I intend to take in the sights a bit."
[Kleti] " tempting ..."
"I'd have to go back and change of course...." He motioned under the table to the shoes she
pointed out earlier "...and I'm guessing you'd want to change at least your footwear too?" He picked up the drink
and downed it. "It's just an offer of course..."
[Kleti] " ok lets meet after 1 hour.... near your hotel maybe?"
[Gideon Larrs] "I'd be a pleasure! If you wait in the hotel lobby the staff there will make sure you're well looked
after.....they better do; their bill is high enough!"
Kleti smiles .
