| I'm interested in how you guys feel about having lightsabers restricted to your class/advanced class? Are you happy with the following set ups or would you prefer to decide what type of lightsaber you'd like to use?
Sith Juggernaut & Sith Inquisitor (Force focused) - Single Lightsaber Sith Inquistor (Melee Focused) - Double-sided Lightsaber Sith Marauder - 2 Lightsabers (Dual wielding)

| Aaargh! I drew Sharho wielding a double-sided lightsabre and I want him to be Force-Focused! ... Lunar, do you want to swap? | |

| I was planning Duel for my Alt Inquisitor but a 2 handed single LS is cool for me.

| Hopefully we wont actually be restriced by which types of LS we can use, it would be a bit rubbish if were tied to LS/Class combos... | |

Ah no they are restricting them to the advanced class unfortunately. So whatever path you take that will decide what lightsaber you wield. At least thats what this article suggests: - Quote :
- So you mentioned the saber staff being for the Inquisitor, and the dual wield being the Warrior. You have kind of a distinction between how the Juggernaut has single wield and the Marauder has dual wield. Is that weapon split indicative of most of the Advanced Classes? We heard that the Smuggler has single guns or dual wield. Is that something we'll see for all the classes?
Ohlen: Yes. So in trying to make sure that all the classes are distinct when they go the Advanced Class route there were different ways we could do it visually. We didn't want it to just be about statistics. We wanted it to be something that when you saw these characters in action you could immediately tell that is a Juggernaut, and that is a Marauder. So every single class when they choose it changes the kind of gear they equip, the kind of weapons they use, and their powers as well.
You have the Smuggler with the dual blasters, and the Smuggler with the single blaster and the kind of a shotgun blaster he has as a backup. For the Sith and Jedi, it is all about the different kinds of lightsaber configurations they have: the single lightsaber, the saber staff, and the dual lightsabers. With the Trooper class, for example on the Republic side, he can go the huge -- you saw the trailer -- with the massive guns. He can go that route where he is much more of a walking turret. Or he can be more of a super-soldier with a very powerful blaster rifle, but he is more maneuverable and he is not just about walking down laying down fire. Personally, I'm probably always going to pick the Trooper with the huge gun. Personally I believe it will turn out similar to what I posted earlier. The heal spec more force focused SI will get a single saber, the Marauder specced SW will get dual-wielding, the Juggernaut SW will be a single saber, and the melee/acrobatic SI looks like he'll be getting the double sided saber. To me it kinda makes sense, especially if we need to identify enemies advanced classes in PvP.

| Well I might be going Force-Focused/Heals then, as Aleina weilds a single.
Maybe there will be some alterations after beta - all we have to do now is wait...and wait....and wait...

Well to be honest if CC and MOAR HLZ PLZZ is the route you wanna take then I'd say there's a very good chance that the Single bladed is the one for Miss Fel. I know for sure thats what I'll be doing with my Jedi Consular.

| Just seen this up on Darth Hater: - Quote :
- Lightsaber color can be chosen freely, possibilities include red, blue, yellow, green and violet
Apparently ANY Force User can have ANY colour (i.e. Jedi Knights can have red and Sith Inquisitor can have blue etc.) [SOURCE] Thoughts? Personally I can easily see EPOCHian Force Adepts using any colour so it kinda works out quite well for you guys in all fairness.

| Actually, that's pretty sweet. No orange, or black (for all FU fans ) though. Still, at least we have more roleplaying scope! Violet blade for Sharho then! | |

| Yeah the colour is determined from the crystals not the technology from what I remember so i bet we could have a white one in this era Maybe we'll get some high level end game crystal drops that are special colours | |

| Laser is light and light cannot be black by definition therefore a black blade is stupid. On the other hand, white is cool. As for the looting of high-end cristal it is to be expected. | |

Well its not actually a "light"saber its just a stream of energy not really made of light, they also produce a strong electromagnetiv field which could trap light or disperse it alway from the location of the blade making it appear black. or the Blade may just not give off light making it black? Scientifically its possible even in this universe Anyway they do exists in the SW universe link
