| So are any of you guys going to any festivals this year? Download, Glastonbury, or even dare I say it my home town's disgraceful excuse for a music festival... Reading?
The only one I'm off to is a one day festival in Clapham Common called South West Four.

| Not this year, I went to download last year and had a great/awful time, seeing the bands was great especially Slipknot Kill switch engage, bad parts were sleeping on a bumpy hard ground, being cold, waking up in a condensed tent with water trickling down everywere, putting up with the @% bands and the awful compnay having to follow mates off to the toilet every 20 mins (dead phones so we would lose each other) becuase they just drank and pissed beer constantly.
Still with all that its still 50 50 of good to bad there are just fewer bands going this year that I like so its not worth the torture

| Went to Benicassim in Spain last summer and - despite a minor hurricane that meant Kings of Leon couldn't play - had a great time. Unfortunately a few people in our group signed on thinking it would be a holiday in a nice, peaceful Spanish town with some great bands only to find Benicassim is dirtier than Newquay, dustier than the Old West and everyone spends their time drinking and playing camp-wide drinking games until 7AM. Those friends-of-friends spent the whole time crying (and a few nights not even coming to the festival nights!) and generally put a downer on the whole thing. Luckily this year we've ditched those people and are driving up to Scotland for T in the Park, highlights being Muse, Faithless (though I've already seen/met/hung out with them ), Prodigy and Biffy Clyro. | |
