| I've made a seperate post for this as I'd rather use this thread for discussions about forming a guild in APB. For those that aren't aware about our plans to start playing APB please click here.
So far the following people have shown interest in forming a guild for APB:
Sureshot Lunarwolf PJK Tando Smudge Soude
SETTING UP
Now as it's fairly near to release I was wondering if you would like a new forum for this guild to be made? They're pretty simple to set up so I can't see it being too much of a problem but if anyone wants to add any arty farty stuff like a banner or anything, or even fancy buttons then be my guest. Obviously this new forum won't be as advanced as what we're doing here at E.P.O.C.H but it'll give us a place to chat about things out of game, that is of course unless you'd prefer to use this thread.
ROLE-PLAYING
I think its fair to say that most of us would prefer to actually RP in APB so I'm all for keeping this guild an RP guild, especially considering that the game actually hosts a whole district for social interaction. I also think that it'll be useful for us to get used of each others RP playstyle.
LORE & BACKGROUND
By the looks of the poll in the other APB thread most of us are looking at playing in the criminal faction so I was wondering if anyone would like to contribute some ideas for our guild theme. I've already run some of my ideas past L-Dubz but I'd like to hear what everyone else has to offer. Please leave ideas in this thread.
STRUCTURE & HEIRARCHY
Now I know we haven't really discussed who's going to run the guild so I'm waiting to see how everyone feels about it before we make any decisions. We could always have the same set up as we have here but I'm also completely comfortable with someone else taking the lead.
So hit me with any ideas you have......

| I don't have much ideas about this but here are my 2 cents (euros cents, not dollar ^^') As for the forum, I'd rather have a sub forum included in this one here. Why? First because the APB guild is (to me) a live test of Epoch (but on another platform). It's the opportunity to test online eachother and see if we can live together IG. Because a guild on a forum is one thing yet putting it online will be something else. It's like dating a girl online, living with her is something else. That's why my point is to have our APB's EPOCH be alike our SWtOR's EPOCH. Of course, I am not open-minded and will start taking puppies hostage until I get what I ask... (French humour inside...) | |

| Yeah I'm mostly in agreement with Soude here. I think it would be a good idea to make the APB Guild an extension of this one, to serve as an experiment to see how well we mesh. I found LOTRO the game a tad disappointing but thought the guild (considering how small it was) was highly enjoyable and worked well. That being said if we did do it like this place in terms of structure I would prefer to work under Sureshot rather than alongside him as I quite fancy my character being a Harley Quinn-style nutjob (i.e. someone who may be high up the pecking order but you REALLY don't want her in charge ) The only thing I would suggest differently to Soude would be that I think we should have a seperate website just incase the APB guild gets bigger than we expect and we recruit people who want to play APB but have no interest in TOR. Guild-site wise I think GuildPortal would be a good choice and I'd be more than happy to set this up if people wanted. Plus I think we should be known as 'EPOCH' in APB, or maybe even 'The Agency' | |

| I vote for EPOCH as a name. I don't vote for guildportal. We -or I- could set up another forummotion forum, it's free and neater looking.
Toon-wise I got no idea what kind of rabbit I'll pull out of my hat. Only thing I know, it's it gonna be a girl completely nuts... or almost completely nuts.

| I agree with LW about a different Site, I used to enjoy sneaking off the the Neranians Website for a change and I think we should keep the EPOCH as a name. | |

| EPOCH the multi-gaming guild!
Apparently you get unlimited access to the customiser and social areas of the game with the purchase. |

I suggested Guildportal because working with both them and forumotion its pretty clear that Guildportal has more customization options, the hassle Sureshot & Harewood went through to get this place as tidy and as eye-catching as it is was a long, hard road indeed. Guildportal and Forummotion are both free, unless you want to do things like remove ads and with regards to the 'neater' aspect of things that's really far more to do with the creators of the site, you get good and bad forum designs, thus: Guildportal: Bad: "Chaos" Good: Brotherhood Forummotion: Bad: Michaeljacksonworld.com (no, really ) Good: The Neránians The main reason I would recommend Guildportal over Forumotion however is the long-term. If you go to virtually any wow-based Guildportal site you will see it integrates raid items, classes and the wow-armoury right into the site. Guildportal is starting to add functionality like that on the site with one major game at a time (and you can bet it will have such TOR widgets). If APB proves a successful game it will likely have lots of funky things that will connect the site directly with the game, like a link to a "most wanted" in-game leaderboard etc. I don't really mind which one (or even another) we go with, as all are easy to set up.

| Yeah the customized designs you did really made it stand out!
With regards to the questions on the OP, perhaps we could do a poll? (well 2 actually, one for if we want a new site and one to vote on structuring) to see how people feel?

First time I ever saw something decent on guildportal... Anyway... Web-site is a 'detail' what's important is that we go in-game and do something fun ^^' No need for a pool, we only lack PJK's and Smudge's opinion on the matter and that is before we can start the brainstorming on guild concept and characters ^^,

| Guild Launch (hosters of the CODEX site) are a different company to GuildPortal. They do offer very similar services however. |

| Ok guys, for the meantime I've added a temporary forum to the bottom of this one for guildies to chat about APB. If you are interested in joining us and would like to be added to the list, please let me know in this thread. Eventually I'll set up another place to call home but this should do just fine for the meantime. | |

| Shouldn't this thread and that one be moved to the APB forum so we can keep all the discussions together? | |
