Star Wars: The Old Republic Galaxy Map

I thought this would be handy to have as we go along, I'll be adding more maps (EPOCH specific ones, like where RPs are set, character-related ones etc) as well.

This is a modified image of "The Galaxy" map from Gizmodo.com.

When the game finally will come out i think it will be a Galaxy map in the game with planet we can travel to and some planet with just some name.

And i hope the galaxy map will be in the collectors edition

@LW: Dromund kass is located on page 133, near Korriban on the map nammed The Fall of the Republic and page 126 The Sith Empire.
I can't find Voss anyway :/

Awesome Soude, thanks - I'll update that when I do the next map.

As for Voss the closest I can get is that it is in the Tion Cluster as indicated in the index, p241.

Hopefully the release of TOR will bring a more exact location!

Yes no other information but the entry about Voss in the index. What brings me that question where did they find out Voss to put in the atlas? So far Voss can indeed be located in the Tion Cluster between Raxus and Ossus. Voss was part of the Xim's territories but nothing more precise.

UPDATE: Well my scanner is busted so I've had to re-do my original map and upsize it. Because its lost some quality I've relabelled the important planets.

Thank-you to Soude for the placement of Dromund Kaas and the rough co-ords of Voss; these will be updated when I have more info from TOR.

Awesome work guys, oh and you were right about the thumbnail L-Dubz.

You must add in E.P.O.C.H worlds as well L-Dubz! Perhaps you could draw a Purple ring around Coruscant and Hutta?

We own worlds???

I like it as it is personally but I think it'd be pretty cool to add in where our base of operations is if player/guild housing makes it into the game.

Yeah I'm planning on doing more than one map, this one is quite literally just the planets available in TOR though.

Other ideas I have are:

* A map showing the locations / travel routes of our RPs
* A map showing the locations / travel routes of our short stories
* A map showing worlds of interest to EPOCH (Currently Coruscant, Hutta & Korriban)
* A map showing the origin worlds of the characters

stuff like that

They'll most likely be in a different thread though, this one is for TOR planets only and I'll update it with each planet thats is revealed in-game (and keep archives of the older maps)

As for the game stuff you mention, I'd rather wait to use the Starmap we'll have ingame.

Aye well part of the reason for this little project is I would like to see if this map and the one that comes with TOR are similar

Hmmmm looking at the map (and checking it with SWTOR.com) the planets thus far go like this:

Planets total (previous to April 30th 2010) = 12

1. Tython
2. Korriban
3. Hutta
4. Ord Mantell
5. Coruscant
6. Balmorra
7. Alderaan
8. Tatooine
9. Dromund Kaas
10. Taris
11. Belsavis
12. Voss
13. Hoth

Which puts the count at:

7 Independent Worlds
4 Republic Worlds
2 Empire Worlds

I think it's about time we had another Empire/Sith world

Indeed, but sets the staging point for the Imperial Agent main story arc, so presumably, there will be some Imperial presence there.

Aye I'm looking forward to starting both Creed and my Bounty Hunter character on Hutta. It looks full of my kinda scum.

Still it looks as though the Sith Empire are owed at least another 2 planets.

Hutta IS independant! wow. I can honestly say I thought it was Empire/Sith due to the fact that Ord Mantell (trooper/smuggler) is republic. Tython (Jedi) is republic and Korriban (sith) is empire!

Now I need to change me map :S

I'm not surprised, Hutta is a Hutt world... As far as I know it has always been and will always be. And knowing Hutts, they're friends of whoever has money for them.
I'm also surprised to see Alderaan is neutral and not pro-Republic...

Well, if you go look at the original post you'll see that the new (May) TOR map is up, complete with Hoth.

Tried as I might I couldn't find a bigger version of the original map anywhere on the net and there was no way I could scan it from my copy of the Altas without breaking the book's spine.

I did however find each of the sections seperately on Wookiepeida:

(The Deep Core
The Core Worlds
Colonies
Inner Rim Territories
Expansion Region
Mid Rim
Outer Rim Territories
HuttSpace)

But after 5 hours of cutting, pasting, resizing, cropping, moving and generally pis*sing about with them, it still looked naff.

Instead I decided to check around the net one last time and found that someone had got the rather interesting Star Wars Galaxies map and removed all the SWG bits, so I started work on that one instead.

Using the planet images from the Holonet rather than those on the map (mind you, Taris, Voss and Drumond Kaas were'nt there anyway) to make them stand out, I've relabelled the ones found in TOR thus far and circled them in the appropriate colour.

Though the original map had far more systems on it, the fact that this one is quite a bit larger gets my vote, and I hope it does with you guys too.

So yeah, a total of 8 hours later, I present the TOR map for May!

SWG's map is absolutely and completely wrong and screwed! Do that mean I don't have to give that a look as we agreed this morning?
