People playing this? I dun have a beta key yet, so I haven't tried it, but it looks soooo sweet. People interested can check it you on this youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/HDstarcraft, very high quality on the videos, and the gaes are commented and very interesting.
On another note, anyone here still playing Starcraft 1 as well? xD I just recently got hooked on it again and wanna play against people I know (about) a bit rather than just strangers.

Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty. Now there's a game I would slay an orphan to play. I was quite literally brought up on the Starcraft series and was fondly attached to Zeratul. Most of my skills are diminished and I probably would be classified as a "n00b' by most by now but if the oppurtunity presents itself I would love a couple of matches Viking!
I've been browsing some info on the game and I noticed something quite funny.

Does the name ring any bells?

If you're referring to a certain bar in Upper Galactic City, Coruscant.... then the name is actually taken from the Hyperion-Class Heavy Cruiser, an Earthforce ship from the TV Series Babylon5, which was Humanity's main attack cruiser in its first interstellar war versus an alien race known as the Dilgar:
But yeah, I'm interested in Starcraft 2 but I have to say it was 3rd on my "Blizzard List". I always went:
1. Warcraft 2. Diablo 3. Starcraft
So while I am interested in seeing what Starcraft has evolved into, I'm more interested in following Diablo3.
Should be a good game though!

Never saw that part of Babylon 5 :O The only time I heard 'bout Dilgar (except for when they mentionned the dilgar war) was in that Episode entitled the Beast when a Dilgar warlord came on the station trying to bargain her life against an eternal life serum. All this to say I never heard of Hyperion in Babylon 5. Isn't Hyperion the name of a sci fi serie of novels too, from Dan Simmons if I got it clearly. Never read it tho.

Aye, most likely. "Hyperion" is a pretty oft-used name in Sci-Fi so it wouldn't surprise me.
To get back on topic though, for those who played Starcraft, which was your favorite species/faction?
TERRAN PROTOSS or ZERG
Personally, I'm a big fan of Protoss

Hands down Protoss. Zeratul and his Dark Templars were always my favourites. Mind controlling SUV's and Drone were always fun because you ended up with all three races. I always enjoyed Terrans because of my fondness of humanity in space. I can't say Zerg were boring, so many times I've zergling spammed and heard that voice yell "SPAWN MORE OVERLORDS" or ("CONSTRUCT ADDITIONAL PYLONS!" as the Protoss one went). I'm a big fan of the Terran backstory in Star Craft but Protoss have always been my hands down favourite.
I must've named at least a hundred different player profiles, in-game characters etc after Zeratul
