ABOUT THE INITIATION TRIAL (New Recruits Please Read)

WHAT IS THE INITIATION TRIAL?

If your original application is accepted, Initiates (otherwise known as Recruits) are placed upon a trial to see how they fit in with the guild and if we think they would be suitable for a full membership at E.P.O.C.H. Assuming everything goes well for both you, the Initiate, and the guild officers are happy to include you as a full time member of the guild, we will then take the action of promoting you to Agent (otherwise known as Member) status.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The trial lasts about approximately one month. After the Officers feel that this time is up, we will put your application to a vote to reach a final verdict if you'd be suitable for membership or not. If you have passed you will notice that your rank has been changed to Agent, there will be a message in the Guild News section, and best of all you will have gained one extra thermal detonator "pip" underneath your username!

WHAT CAN I DO TO MAKE SURE I PASS THE TRIAL?

First and foremost the guild officers take into account how active you are on these forums. Inactive Initiates will be instantly removed from the guild roster after thier monthly trial has expired. The more active an Initiate is, the more likely we'll get to known them and more importantly it shows dedication to our guild. Another way to guarantee yourself passing the trial is through role-playing. RP (along with actvity) is probably the biggest factor we take into consideration whilst promoting people to the rank of Agent. E.P.O.C.H are a medium to heavy RP guild and that means role-playing is our primary focus. There are many ways you can show us that role-playing and activity are a top priority to you. Here are some ideas:

• The one you should consider the most is your activity. Try and visit the site at least every two days and post as much as you can. We take the commitment to our guild very seriously here, because as we're a smaller guild we need input from each and every member. To make sure that all Initiates, Agents, Special Agents, and even Chief Operatives are active within the guild we ask that everyone "checks in" to our monthly "Roll Call", which can be found in the Guild News section of our forums. For more information on Roll Calls please read here or refer any questions to Special Agent Caryington. Please remember that missing two roll calls in a row will mean instant dismissal from the guild or if you're on a trial we will deny you full membership.

• Tell us a bit more about yourself in the Introduce Yourself thread. This way we can get to know the person behind the screen, what your interests are and what motivates you.

• Create a character bio or wiki. This is a pretty straight forward and fun method of showing the officers that your character is important to you. E.P.O.C.H has it's own Wikipedia where you can showcase your characters or if you decide like others have in the guild, you can create one over at the SW:TOR-RP Wiki site.

• Take part in some ongoing RP, such as The Hyperion - a casual ongoing and open-to-all RP set to the backdrop of an E.P.O.C.H owned nightclub/cantina. Another idea of course would be to create your own RP.

• Alternatively you could create your own backstory for your character, which can be showcased in the Storytelling section of our forums.

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE I NEED TO KNOW?

Yes. Rules are important here and something that keeps the guild's enviroment a nice and friendly one. Upon applying to our guild you agreed to our Site Rules & Regulations. We expect you to hold true to that agreement and likewise we shall show you the same courtesy and respect.

If your application is accepted and you are promoted to Initiate you are required to apply to our SW:TOR.com Guild Page as well so that we can add you to the roster. If for some reason you do not pass the Initiation trial we will remove your Initiate rank and remove you from our guild page.
