Bounty system?!

I have heard talks on the "official" site about people wanting a true and real bounty system in place, just curious what you guys think about this!

Well seeing as I plan on being a Bounty Hunter more than any of the other classes and I enjoy PvP (if it's well done) then hell yes I'd like a bounty system! I'm in two minds about allowing other classes doing it though. Part of me thinks that if you want to hunt people for credits then you should really only be allowed if you're a Bounty Hunter, cause thats what they do! Same as Smugglers being able to smuggle. If my class storyline involved me smuggling illegal weapons through the outer rim then it wouldn't make sense. Now on the other hand it would be cool for our guild if all of us could do it because it kinda fits with our concept. What I'm thinking might happen is that other classes can join a Bounty Hunter whilst he's on a headhunting mission, because they have mentioned that you'll be able to pick up your only storyline along the way that you can do with another class. For example if I were questing with you 0wl and you joined me on my manhunt then a quest might pop that says that we have to hunt down some Jedi on the way. Thats how I think they'll handle it for PvE anyway. As for PvP then to be honest I don't know how they would go about it to make it fair.

Seriously it does make sense for a BH to have that feature to be able to actually hunt people, that would be amazing if you ask me! Still the part were another entirely different class can join in and "quest" with you sounds like great fun as well!

It looks as if this game and Bioware will make true many promises other game companies never really accomplished, at least let's hope so...

I suspect that regardless of whether the game itself actually implements a "Bounty System" that we will create our own anyway.

It not unfeasible to imagine that [whatever character SureShot makes as his Sith Main and therefore Empire Department Head] will give out RP-only In-game bounties to do between / alongside TOR missions in the form of Guild Events.

Stuff like that is what makes RP guilds so much more interesting than normal ones!

I myself do not consider a BH to be a Sith character, but i do get what you are "getting" at hehe!

And you are right, we will create a bounty system ourselves without doubt and to be honest it does sound like fun!

I'm all for a real in game bounty system. If done correctly it could be fantastic. Vivaa would find this very satisfying.


I'm all for a real player driven smuggler system too, but thats for another thread...

According to this interview there will definately NOT be a player Bounty System

Shame really, but there is no reason why we can't make one in RP
