The Advanced Classes Blog Discussion (April 9th 2011)

For once, I actually read through a Dev blog twice because it wasn't padded out with BS but loads of information instead!

Our classes have now suddenly gotten much more diverse!

Sure we knew all classes could DPS, but 3 out of the 4 classes can be healers now (excluding the Sith Warrior).

In short,

BH:
Mercenary (Roles: Close - Mid Range Damage Dealing, Healing)

PowerTech (Roles: Mid - Long Range Damage Dealing, Tanking)

IA:
Sniper (Roles: Mid - Long Range Damage Dealing)

Operative (Roles: Close - Mid Range Damage Dealing, Healing)

SI:
Sith Assassin (Roles: Close - Mid Range Damage Dealing, Tanking)

Sith Sorcerer (Roles: Mid-Long Range Damage Dealing, Healing)

SW:
Sith Marauder (Roles: Close Range Damage Dealing. Wields dual Lightsabers)

Sith Juggernaut (Roles: Close Range Damage Dealing, Tanking. Wields a single Lightsaber)

At a guess with the SW Marauder will be pure DPS wheras Juggernaut will be DPS/Tank hybrid

But it opens up a lot more possibilities!

Hopefully this means with only 4 classes to choose from between 20 (30?) players in the Guild we shouldn't get much in the way of overlap.

Cheers chap! BTW L-Dubz, I think they made a mistake on the official board in regards to the BH's role. It now reads like this:

Mercenary (Roles: Mid - Long Range Damage Dealing, Healing)

PowerTech (Roles: Close - Mid Range Damage Dealing, Tanking)

Where as before it was like your OP. It had me going for a second, knowing that I wanted to play a close range tanking Bounty Hunter!

Still I bet you're happy about the Sorcerer's trees?

Deffo, seeing as I wanted to be a DPS / Healer - can't get more exact than that!
