Recommendations? for Anime? hehe this forum really isnt big enough!
You're the same age as as me so I'm guessing you've seen:
AKIRA
(Kaneda's bike is what got me into biking )
Then of course there is
GHOST IN THE SHELL
You've already mentioned the formidable Ninja Scroll, but there are so many others... anything by Studio Ghibli is usually excellent, I believe their latest (or one of them anyway, I find it hard to keep up) is
ORIGIN: SPIRITS OF THE PAST:
There are old favourites such as
BATTLE OF THE PLANETS (though this is going back a bit)
THE MYSTERIOUS CITIES OF GOLD (Thought I believe this was a french-jap collaboration)
For something a little less well known, you could try:
TEKKON KINKREET (which I thought was ace)
oh, and not forgetting:
SAMURAI PIZZA CATS! (hell yeah, lol)
Right, you're up Aliendra!

Chrono Trigger!!! God I loved that game
The title reminds me of:
CHRONO CRUSADE
A militant nun working with a reformed demon? surely nothing can go amiss there..

I've never seen TEKKON KINKREET out of that list. I'll have to check it out! And the last Ghibli one I saw was Tales From Earthsea. Loved that studio since seeing a pirate of Nausica when I was very young.
And Cities of Gold and Battle of the Planets were the best things on TV when I was little!! I so wanted a golden condor plane thingy when I grew up. I bought CoG and Aquaboy from ebay a couple of years ago but Cities never worked.
Have you seen Death Note (not the live action movie which was dull)? I've been thinking about getting that one but they haven't released a box set yet.
And I can't beleive you didn't post...
Existential teenage angst with giant robots fighting amazingly conceived aliens predicted in the dead sea scrolls... Awsome!

(Dont slap me) I've never watched it.
Not a huge 'mecha' fan - all my mates were into Robotech, which I never really saw the appeal of. Evangelicon is on my "to-watch-now-I'm-older-and-will-appreciate-it" list.
Oddly, my other half is not a huge anime fan but cant get enough of Ghost In The Shell (the 3 films or the 2 series). Women, eh?

*Redwatch slaps Lunarwolf*
Sorry but you deserve it. LOL Never seen Evangelion. *tut* Completely wipes the floor of Robotech any day.
I love GinTS. I'm glad 2nd GIG dropped the cg intro of the 1st GIG, the Major looked well odd. And I love all the Ghibli stuff (got a Cat Buss pencil case from a mate a couple of Christmases back).
Aliendra mentioned it but I would thoroughly recommend Cowboy Bebeop if you've not got round to it yet.

Hehe - you definately DO like Ghost In the Shell; you abbreviated it to GinTS, not "G.I.T.S" heh.
I've seen some of Cowboy BeBop and also some of Samurai Champaloo - but not enough of either to make a clear decision on.
I also stumbled across this the other day but only own the first 4 eps (Disc1)
DESERT PUNK
Though this might seem like a collection of boobs jokes, this guy REALLY never gives up! still, between these er... 'attempts' he is also a top-notch fighter who kicks the crap out of loads of mercs; also it has one of my favourite lines ever:
"Remember kids, a smart man know when is time to run like a little bitch!"
Oh, and this is another very good - if somewhat mental animie:
FULL METAL PANIC!

ROLF! That's so funny! Those two seem great, I'm a big fan of the ****** up **** that anime can get up to.
And G.I.T.S seems just plain wrong in the face of all it accomplishes. When the first move came out I had the mp3 of the opening tune. Still have it burned somewhere, great atmospheric theme.
Hoorah for Anime!!

O.o Anime flood!
Hehe... Classics most of them. Didn't see them all though. I remember watching Robotech Redwatch when i was younger... I loved it. Evangelion didn't move me like that although i watched it allot later.
@ the chinases movie trailers. Damn chinese always pack their movies full of great top o the line animation... Wish Polish studios could afford that >.< Then "Witcher the movie" Would be better..
@ the watchmean trailer... Damn i waited for this movie... Now i can't find the time to go the the cinema Someone kill me please...
Akira, Ghost in the shell... Real classics there. Both actually created cyberpunk as we know it with Blade runner.
But enough.. You spam anime? I'll do the same! I'm not the greatest of fan of anime mind you. I think most of it is pure bullcrap. But there are pearl and diamonds in it... And its influence on geek culture can't be diminished! So i give you a few of my favorites that weren't mentioned here
Cowboy Bebop! If you don't know it then!... Get to know it damn you! Bounty hunters! Space fights! All the futuristic crap you can handle packed with AMAZING music and ridiculous amounts of humor! You liked firefly? Then this one you'll love!
Next on out list is...
Full Metal Alchemist! Maybe not as classic as the rest but a true epic story with a few amazing characters in a world of "scientific" magic... Worth seeing!
And now a true psycho classic we all probably know! C'mon... you.. MUST know it!
Hellsing!
Its a must to see...
Hmm... Now for one of my all time favorites... Its old and its cheesee...
A "medival" placed series about a mercenary with a STRANGE finale... But it has its charm i can't resist
Ladies and Gentleman i give you Berserker!
Hmmm what else...
P.S I need to give that Desert Punk a try Looks hilarious!

AAaaaaaah, Hellsing Yeah that's a good'un (even if it does go a bit...er....'odd' at the end.).
I like that so much I own them on VHS, the 13 episodes seperately on DVD and the "Hellsing:Ultimate" DVD Collection! Its one of the few I can appreciate not only the Japanese version with English subs, but also the English Dub version. (which reminds me - watch Desert Punk in English dub, its funnier than Japanese!).
Also, my friend has Beserker and raves about it, I may steal it off him! I'll always a little skeptical because I agree completely that there is a LOT of rubbish Anime, but he cannot be convinced of that and thinks it is all awesome. :S

Dont know if anyone has actually seen this, but I was introduced to it by my brother who is a massive fan of Felicity Day.
This little series started out completely self-funded until half-way through series 1 when Felicity's cash nose-dived, when it was funded by fans from then on.
(Felicity Day is from Dr Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog (by Joss Whedon and co-starring 'Doogie Houser' (spelt right?) and Nathan Fillion as "Capt. Hammer")
This is her series 'The Guild' which makes me giggle as I have spent far too much time in Guilds
Without further ado :
The Guild

Still hacking away at my gigs of Ricky Gervais downloads, heard this and thought it was pretty funny. Youtube's being mean to me right now so I hope this works for everyone else.

I've read law books. I probably could have gotten away with it. I'm good at finding loopholes.
Seriously, though, that daughter wasn't bad looking.

Seriously man... this judge should be fired and probably killed. This show is not only retarded but also against the law. She acts like she's above the law!
The fat chick i'm sure was a scammer. But if the auction had a written statement about the pictures instead of phones. She is damn innocent in the eyes of law. Read the fine line stupid...

A judge... humiliating and calling a person names? You can't call someone a murderer before its proven. She is throwing judgement before the crime is proven... And in the eyes of law that women did no crime
Second of all...She is friggin annoying. Hate those shows... Made for kids like everything on TV.

Here's one for Black Heart and Aliendra who I *may* have accidently exposed to Supernatrual...
This is not an amazingly high quality vid, but it made me chuckle. Enjoy!
(ps: before anyone says "that sunset at the end looks really fake", thats because it is - its an episode where the Winchesters are on a tv studio set!)

Because I had to vanish to deal with work stuffs in the early am this morning and noticed Redwatch trying to point out the 10th Kingdom to Sure and BH, I thought this might be appreciated because I know how great a mini-series it was.
So Redwatch, all I can say is: "Suck an Elf!"
(Oh, and because 'Wolf' is hilarious....and ROCKS.

If you want to know a little bit about why i am such an politically offensive ass look at this and examine the heritage of the most changing and shifting country in Europe. Always at war... Notice how the borders change due to our "beloved" neighbours- Germans and and Russians...
